2017-2018 Application Instructions Hebrew University—Summer Only Hebrew University reserves the right to make the acceptance decision. After you submit your application, you may receive an e-mail from the Hebrew University Summer Office if your online application is missing any supplementary materials. Please respond immediately to their emails so the processing of your application is not delayed. An incomplete application will not be processed. Acceptance Decision HU will email you directly concerning their acceptance decision. This takes about 2-3 weeks after you submit your completed application. Housing You are required to live on-campus for safety and security reasons. You will need to reserve and pay for housing directly to Hebrew University by their deadline. Application Fee You are responsible for paying the $80 application fee directly to Hebrew University at the time of Application Hebrew University Summer Online Application How do I start? Fill out online at: https://overseas.huji.ac.il/summercourses Start a new user account to begin application Select “Summer Courses” under the “You are applying for” question Revised 1/25/2017 Important Course Selection Information You will be asked to select courses as part of your application. Please keep in mind that not all Summer courses are open to UCEAP students. Be sure to refer to the “Courses & Credit” tab of the Hebrew University Summer page for a list of UCEAP approved courses. You must select a minimum of 9 quarter units/6 semester units, which will be two courses. On the course selection page of your application there will be a link to the Summer Courses Schedule, please be sure that the courses you register for do not conflict. Supplementary Materials Academic Letters of Recommendation Submit one academic letter of recommendation by providing your reference’s contact information. An e-mail will be sent to the person you list on your HU Summer application asking them to fill out the recommendation. Please be sure to allow plenty of time for them to complete this recommendation before the application deadline. Report of Medical Examination Complete and submit HU’s Report of Medical Examination directly to Hebrew University per the instructions provided on their form. You may complete both this clearance and the UCEAP Health Clearance at the same appointment. Keep in mind the different deadlines and be sure neither are late. Housing Request Complete the housing request form. You are required to live on-campus for safety and security reasons. Passport Photo Submit one passport style photo to be used for your Hebrew University ID card. This is not a photo of your passport! Academic Transcript Upload a copy of your most recent official transcript. Be sure to allow enough time to order and receive your official transcripts from your campus registrar’s office.
