EPSRC data policy
We draw your attention to the EPSRC requirements on data storage and publication which came
into effect on 1 May 2015. In short, EPSRC requires that the research funded by them should:
a) Have the associated data safely stored for 10 years;
b) Make relevant parts of the data publicly accessible and "Include a short statement within
published research papers describing how and on what terms any supporting research data may
be accessed."
The latter may be particularly important, as EPSRC may carry out random checks of papers to
monitor compliance (BristolBridge is funded by EPSRC).
You can find further relevant information (including how to deposit data) about Bristol’s Research
Data Repository here: http://data.bris.ac.uk/data. Funding support to cover the University’s
Research Data Storage Facility charges may be possible through BristolBridge’s central funding, if
necessary. Please indicate here whether you require funding support to store data generated in
your proposed project. Thank you.
