This week’s lesson
Reminder to Supervisors
This week the students are learning how to create a
simple guessing game.
This lesson has strong links to Unit 1—Digital Technologies Years 3-4 ( V5.0) where students are required to demonstrate knowledge and understanding
of digital systems and apply skills in defining, designing, implementing and evaluating a digital solution
(simple guessing game) using a visual programming
language.
Students will begin by playing a simple guessing game
and evaluating it. They will then design their own
game, using the skills that they have learnt over the past 2 weeks.
This type of game has many applications in digital classrooms. It is a fantastic way to
extend your more able students and encourages them to flip the classroom, by designing a game for other students to use to test their knowledge. Students could design games for classmates or for students in lower grades for revision of concepts.
