GENERAL TEAM INFORMATION
Game schedule
❖ It is essential that teams check the website in the morning before leaving for their match in case of any
late changes to the game schedule due to weather or unforeseen circumstances that may have
happened overnight.
❖ Teams are responsible for arriving on time as per the Competition schedule on:
http://www.nzfootball.co.nz/world-masters-games-2017/
Player Eligibility
❖ As noted in Competition Regulations, Section 16.2 - Players taking the field for a Team entered into the
Competition are restricted to play for one football team only. Once a Player has taken the field for a
Team, they are not permitted to play in another Team during the Competition.
❖ Any players found to have taken the field for two different teams will be deemed ineligible and the
team in which the player has taken the field in the second fixture will forfeit the match.
Team Sheet Process
❖ Each team will be provided with team sheets in their Team Manager’s pack, enough for matches that
they will play and spare copies.
❖ Team sheets are pre-populated with the name of the competition, team name and players names. Any
player’s names not listed are to be handwritten at bottom of the team sheet in lines provided.
❖ Spare copies of team sheets will also be in the Field of Play kit box in case a team forgets to bring their
team sheet to the match to provide to the referee.
❖ Teams should provide their completed team sheets to the referee 10 minutes prior to kick-off.
❖ The referee will hold onto the team sheets while the game is in progress.
❖ At the end of the match, the referee will complete the relevant information on the team sheets, obtain
signatures from the team officials to confirm the information is correct.
❖ The referee retains the team sheets for both teams and returns them to desk of the Referee Co-ordinator
at each site immediately after the match for results entry.
Match Footballs & Bibs
❖ Three match balls need to be collected from the Information Desk at each venue at least 20 minutes
prior to the team’s scheduled kick-off. Seven bibs for substitutes to wear in the Technical area and one
bib for the assistant referee will also be collected at the same time. A team official must sign and take
responsibility for the return of all of the items at the conclusion of the match. These must be returned
on the same day of play as there are insufficient quantities available for sets to be held by teams until
their next match.
❖ Teams may be subject to sanctions or replacement costs if equipment is not returned as required.
❖ PLEASE ASSIST US WITH THE RETURN OF ALL ITEMS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
