NIAGARA CASINOS GENERAL POKER RULES
1. Niagara Casinos provides House Poker Dealers for all games, but does not
participate in the actual play of the game and has no interest in the outcome of play.
2. Management reserves the right to make decisions that are in the best interest of the
game even though technical interpretation of the rules would dictate a contrary
decision.
3. A waiting list will be kept for all Poker games. Players may reserve a seat by having
their names placed on the list for the game of their choice. Players will be called
when a seat becomes available. Players may not be seated unless the brush person
calls their name.
4. Minimum buy-in for all fixed limit games are ten (10) times the Big Blind amount, all
re-buys will be (5) times the Big Blind amount, unless otherwise posted.
5. Cards must be kept on or above the table surface in plain view. Cards may not be
removed from the edge of the table surface.
6. Chips must stay in full view of the dealer at all times. Removing chips or cash from
the table is not permitted, unless permission has been given from a supervisor or
manager.
7. It is the player’s responsibility to protect their own hand.
8. All losing hands will be mucked before the pot is awarded.
9. The winning hand will remain face up until after the pot has been awarded.
10. All decisions regarding an outcome of a hand must be settled in a timely manner.
Any dispute must be brought to the attention of Management at the time of play.
11. No one may play another player’s chips.
12. No play-overs will be allowed.
13. No rabbit hunting. Players and dealers are not allowed to look through the discard
pile.
14. If there is at least one caller, all patrons must show their two hole cards upon the
request of any players.
15. Cards talk. A winning hand must show all cards face up on the table. The player
instituting the last action (checking or betting) must turn their hand over first.
16. A player miscalling a hand with the intent to cause another player to act on their
hand risks forfeiture of the pot and/or removal from the Poker Room.
17. Non-players may be asked not to sit or stand in the poker room, at management’s
discretion.
18. No food will be allowed in the poker room.
19. Electronics are permitted with the following guidelines:
a.
Players are permitted to handle their electronic devices at the table while not
in a hand, provided the electronic device does not disturb play or other
players.
b. Phone conversations while seated at a table are not permitted. Phone
conversations must be conducted a minimum of one table length away from
their assigned table and must not disrupt any live game in the room/area.
c. Players are prohibited from using any device to record/capture video,
photography, or audio footage at any time.
d.
No cell phones or other electronic communication device can be placed on a
poker table.
20. Players may not make any kind of deals during the play of a hand; all hands must be
fully completed. Players may not split pots, or give any other player’s money back at
the table.
21. Show one show all. If any player shows his/her cards to another player at the table
all other players at the table then have the right to see them upon request at
Management’s discretion.
22. Players must act in turn. A knock on the table constitutes a check.
23. Players who place a single chip into the betting area that is larger than the bet to
them are considered to be calling the bet unless they announce raise.
24. String raises are not allowed. A player must either put out the full amount of the bet
and raise at the same time or announce raise.
25. Verbal statements in turn are binding; verbal statements out of turn may also be
binding.
26. Players may request a table change from a floor person.
27. If a player requests a table change, that player must move immediately.
28. Player’s must have at least the amount of the Big Blind in order to play the next
hand, if they don’t they must do a full re-buy.
29. The players will pay session fees even if they are not present at the table at the time
of collection. The dealer or floor person for absent players will place Session fees.
30. Only English will be permitted while a hand is in play.
31. You are not allowed to change seats in games of 6 players or less.
32. If you decide to cash out from any game, you are not allowed to re-enter a game of
the same limit for at least 1 hour.
33. In fixed limit, once you are left with 2 players remaining, they are allowed to raise as
many times as they want.
34. Management’s decisions are final.
