Purpose: Manage crime intelligence and analyse crime information, and provide

Key Successes…
 May 2010, detection of Crystal Meth laboratory in Sandton.
Estimated value of seizures R120 000 000,00 ( Lab equipment,
other chemical, 300kg of Crystal Meth and 2 vehicles)
 June 2010, seizure of 13 210g of cocaine valued at R11 889
000,00 in Sao Paulo destined for South Africa by identified
couriers. Two arrests were effected.
 Two suspects were arrested during June 2010 for Credit card
fraud amounting to R2 227 000.

Key Successes
 During July 2010, 10 people were arrested for, among other
things, illegal dealing in radio active material, implicated in a
series of ATM bombings
 During August 2010, 48 bags of dagga weighing 80kg with an
estimated street value of R1 500 000 were seized, three
arrests were effected.
 117 wanted suspects were traced and arrested for various
crimes e.g. ATM bombings, Cash-in-transit robberies, murder,
rape.
