The target was surpassed due to the focused approach and the improved use of crime intelligence / information in, for example, the planning and coordinating of operations during the hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup TM. Estimated value of seizures R120 000 000,00 ( Lab equipment, other chemical, 300kg of Crystal Meth and 2 vehicles) June 2010, seizure of 13 210g of cocaine valued at R11 889 000,00 in Sao Paulo destined for South Africa by identified couriers. Two arrests were effected. Two suspects were arrested during June 2010 for Credit card fraud amounting to R2 227 000. 12 Key Successes During July 2010, 10 people were arrested for, among other things, illegal dealing in radio active material, implicated in a series of ATM bombings During August 2010, 48 bags of dagga weighing 80kg with an estimated street value of R1 500 000 were seized, three arrests were effected. 117 wanted suspects were traced and arrested for various crimes e.g. ATM bombings, Cash-in-transit robberies, murder, rape. 13
