MOVEMENT 2. Up and down • When you throw the ball up, the force of gravity starts to make it go more slowly. • So the ball loses speed until it stops at the highest point. • Then, gravity makes the ball start to fall, and it speeds up until it hits the ground. 3. Throwing objects • We throw a ball using force. • This force pushes the ball forwards and applies speed to it. • At the same time, gravity pushes the ball downwards. • The result of these two movements (forwards & downwards ) makes the ball move in a curved direction.
