Rules and Conditions
1. Players shall be eligible to play in this tournament providing that they were born on or after 1 January 2000.
2. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to restrict the entry to that appropriate to the capacity of the
venue. Due to time constraints, players may only enter two events.
3. Yonex Feather Shuttlecocks will be used throughout.
4. The entry fee will be £15.00 per player for singles and £12.00 per player for doubles and mixed. Cheques
should be made payable to Bournemouth Performance Centre
5. Entry forms and the correct fee should be forwarded to the Tournament Secretary before the entry closing date.
Late entries MAY be accepted if numbers permit but will attract a late entry fee of £2.50.
6. Entries for mixed and doubles pairs will only be accepted if completed entry forms are received from both
partners. If a partner is required, please enter ‘partner required’ in the appropriate box. Please note that finding a
partner cannot be guaranteed.
7. Acceptances and details of reporting times will be posted at least 7 days before the event on bpcentre.co.uk
8. The entry form is valid for this tournament only. Photocopies will be accepted.
9. If there are enough entries, the Singles will be split into ‘A’ and ‘B’ events, with the ‘A’ event being for the
stronger players. The Committee will allocate players to ‘A’ or ‘B’, taking into account their ability, experience,
stated preference and the overall entry level.
10. The initial rounds of all events will be played in groups, with the following rounds on a knockout basis;
matches will be best of 3 games to 15 points extended to 21 in the knock-out stages only. Medals will be
presented to winners, runners-up, and losing semi-finalists.
11. No competitor shall be obliged to commence a match before 09.00hrs. The tournament should end by approx.
20.00hrs.
12. The Tournament will be run according to the Badminton England Regulations for Tournaments. Clothing must
be of acceptable nature and within the terms of B.E. Regulations. The suitability of the clothing will be at the
discretion of the Tournament Referee.
13. Intending video camera users should seek prior permission from the Tournament Referee.
14. All details contained herein are correct at the time of printing. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to
alter these conditions and, in particular, the format of play, as deemed fit. Any such alterations will be notified.
15. Withdrawals must be made at least 36 hrs before the start of the tournament to be eligible for a refund and
may incur an administrative fee. Valid claims for refunds must be made in writing to the Tournament Secretary, no
later than one month after the tournament. Claims made after this date may not be paid.
