Overview of role:
Provide a high quality procurement service MAG employees and overseas programmes in accordance
with MAG’s vision, mission and values.
MAG Procurement & Logistics department supports MAG programmes with the timely supply of goods,
equipment & services. Equipment categories include protection and detection equipment, as well as
more general aid and relief items. As an International NGO, MAG requires that its supply chain
activities promote best value and are carried out in a transparent and ethical manner.
Principal Responsibilities
Carry out procurement for MAG HQ and overseas programmes in accordance with approved policies
and processes.
Liaise with suppliers and service providers to ensure the timely and accurate completion of orders.
Arrange the movement of equipment to MAG’s field programmes, including organising and
consolidating consignments and issuing all required shipping documents.
Compile and distribute weekly procurement reports to MAG’s field programmes; communicating any
particular procurement issues.
Maintain and develop effective supplier relationships, achieving the best possible price, quality, service
and terms for MAG.
Assist in the formulation, monitoring & reporting of supplier agreements.
Participate in the end to end tender process, ensuring MAG procurement practice is followed at all
times.
Work in collaboration with internal departments, suppliers, and the UK Export Control Organisation to
ensure all MAG equipment shipments are covered by the required UK trade control or export licenses.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement procedures and where necessary
recommend alterations
Undertake related ad-hoc projects as and when required.
Provide support where necessary to coordinate travel bookings for MAG Staff (and other personnel as
required) in accordance with the travel policy and guideline, liaising with MAG’s appointed travel
provider as appropriate.
All HQ staff are expected to undertake the following general duties:

Ensure familiarity with and adhere to all MAG policies and procedures and keep informed of
MAG activities
