Winter 2013/2014
St. Anton in December and January 2013/2014
Fiery, contemplative, sporty
The festive season in St. Anton am Arlberg is heralded by “Krampaler” devils roaming the
streets, the traditional Christmas market with its decorative stalls and a great après-ski
party atmosphere with SAT.1 Gold at the Mooserwirt. Particularly tempting for piste and
deep snow fans: attractive package deals right into January. „Wedel Weeks“ and „Powder
Snow Weeks“ promise fabulous powder fun while carving the „first line“ through pristine

16th Arlberg-Pass Krampalar “Devils” Run on 5th
December 2013
This has always been a major attraction in Arlberg: The
Krampalar Devils Run in St. Anton celebrates a centuries
old tradition surrounding St. Nicholas in the Alps, with an
impressively authentic spectacle. Wearing fearsome,
carved masks and formidable devil’s skins, the
Krampalar roam the streets and frighten passers-by.
There are fireworks, flames and smoke during the finale
– a downright devilish spectacle! For more information,

Ski-Show
St. Anton am Arlberg is considered to be the birthplace
of alpine ski sport and continues to make winter sport
history, even today. Names like Hannes Schneider and
Karl Schranz are an integral part of the history of this
Tyrolean village. During the weekly Ski Show, instructors
impressively demonstrate how the Telemark style of
yesteryear has developed into the fascinating skiing
techniques of today. The piste in front of the World Cup
stadium acts as an über-dimensional screen with new
and vibrant 3D effects and multi-media images. The
popular show is presented every Wednesday from 21hrs by St. Anton am Arlberg Tourist Board,
together with the Arlberger Bergbahnen Cable Car Co and Skischule Arlberg. The first performance
takes place on 30th December and includes a firework display. Tickets are available to watch the
show from the comfortable warmth of the glazed Show Lounge at the World Cup Stadium, with
dinner and drinks. Admission to the general spectator area is free. Further information can be
