Martin Arandia
For many of you who don’t know me, my name is Martin Arandia. I’ve been in
NHS since 2013. I want to take part in the NHS office because I feel like I should
be doing more in this awesome club. I’m pretty organized and punctual,
especially for the many meetings we have; being in AVID and in AP have trained
me to be as such. My imagination has gifted me with creativity and artistic
abilities, traits that define me. Above all, I’m a hard worker; I’m willing to do
anything that makes others happy and more well off, because seeing others smile
at the work we do is worth all the effort. Being in NHS will demand time,
patience, energy, and, above all, dedication; I understand that. Nevertheless, I’m
ready for it.
Lourdes Maldonado
Hello, my name is Lourdes Maldonado but I am also known as Lulu, for those of
you who do not know me. I am currently a junior with a 3.85 GPA and I am
running for NHS President. I believe that I would be a good fit for president
because I am reliable and hardworking. I also obtain good communication skills
and I value other people's opinions on a subject so that the best outcome possible
can be achieved. I am also very organized and manage my time wisely. Overall, I
know that anyone can just list these traits. However, I would like the chance to
prove them to you myself. I fully understand that being president for NHS is a
full time commitment and I will be completely dedicated to that position, if
chosen, or any other officer position to which I am assigned. Thank you.
Jason Ordonio
I believe I would be a good fit as the Public Relations Officer because I am
constantly on social media. I already do advertisements and reminders for ASU so
it would be an easy transition so #JasonForPR
Joanna Nguyen
Hello NHS members! Please vote for me, Joanna Nguyen as your future 20142015 historian. I am super spunky while using a variety of colors since it is my
specialty. I dedicate most of my time towards making posters for many people on
their special occasions, therefore I would not mind on putting together a scrap
book of amazing memories throughout the year. I enjoy planning events for
anything so the banquet will be an exquisite event next year or any event that
needs my school political input. Thank you.
Emilio Habacon
In the first two years of my membership at NHS, I had an opportunity to observe
and develop a clear stand on what this organization is composed of. It is
composed of well intelligent students who all strive for success. However, I have
noticed that there is a lack of involvement and participation in activities besides
the meetings. As NHS being the biggest club in the school, I am not seeing the
full potential of involvement considering that we have a vast number of
members. If I am given the chance to lead, I will devote more time in ensuring
participation among events and not just the meetings. I think one of the most
distinguishing characteristics I possess is the diversity of experiences and a
unique blend of attributes. I am proactive, balanced, and versatile. I strongly
believe that the qualities I own will influence my work into producing consistent
results among NHS.
Shaeera Ahmed
From working in the NHS Carnivals, to just attending the regular meetings, I
have realized that I want to offer my own personal abilities to be one of the
leaders of this club. I am currently a junior and have been in NHS for almost two
years now, so I know how meetings generally go. I am a very flexible person and
am open to new ideas giving me a wide range of capabilities from offering
artistic input to just leadership qualities. I am involved with several clubs on and
off campus, but this year I have been greatly focused on being a part of City of
Perris’s Youth Advisory Committee as the Vice President. From this committee,
I have been able to work personally with the city council in dealing with youth
commissions for Perris. Such an experience has definitely shown me what it
takes to hold an officer position by forcing me to be dedicated and responsible. I
am also in RV Scholars and the Advanced Placement program so I have
developed exceptional time management skills from balancing out academics and
extracurricular activities. I know being an officer will require great responsibility,
but I am prepared to lead yet another successful year.
Jorge Valdez
Hello, for those that don't know me I am Jorge Valdez. I would make an
outstanding treasurer because I have great time management skills. This year I
managed 4 AP classes and a sport. Also, I have great math skills so I am good
with numbers. The club's money will be in good hands. I have great leadership
skills and I'm very sociable.
Sarah German
As a member of Key Club and ASU I feel I can easily create a connected link
between NHS and other clubs on campus without being overbooked and unable to
fulfill my duties as a Public Relations Officer. I would responsibly remind all
members of meetings as well as events and other club tasks. Also, as a member of
Film Club and with their assistance I can easily promote NHS and NHS events. I
am a responsible student and hope you all would like to have me as an officer,
thank you.
Danielle Garcia
I am looking to become the treasurer for NHS. I find this position to best
compliment my extensive knowledge of math and financing. I know very well
how to manage and save money as well as account for any profits or spending. I
would like to believe that I am a very sensible and mature young lady who can
handle any job, even independently with few direction when needed. I also work
great with my peers, meaning I could work well with the future president, vice
president, etc.
Denise Morris
As members of such a large club here at the Ranch, I feel it important that
everyone feels welcome and well informed in our NHS family. As Public
Relations Officer, I will keep all members informed of upcoming meetings,
events, and activities related with NHS. Also, I will create various presentations
to advertise for events like the Giving Table and the annual NHS Carnival. My
experience with volunteering at Cedars Sinai Medical Center as well as a nonprofit children’s organization have allotted me the opportunity to expand my
social and communication skills which I can use to notify and motivate members.
If you enjoy having the latest NHS information at the convenience of your
fingertips then remember to vote Denise for Public Relations Officer.
Vanessa Garcia
My name is Vanessa Garcia and I would be a good treasurer for NHS because I am
very organized, reliable and flexible. I have plenty of time so all my focus will be
on NHS . Also I work good with other, I have good communication skills and I'm
a very approachable person. Also as this year's treasurer for the class of 2015 I
have an idea what is expected and what I will be doing so I won't be going in with
no experience. Vote for me guys!
Cynthia Trigueros
When I arrived at Rancho Verde High School in August, I was ready for a new
start and experience. I had previously attended a school with an exceptional
amount of school spirit, and I entered Rancho with high expectations, and I hate
to say I was disappointed. I would not like for anyone else to go through their
high school years without having known what school spirit is all about. Now you
may ask, what does this have to do with NHS?? For me personally, the answer is
everything, as members of the National Honors Society, we are leaders and ideal
examples for the whole campus. As the largest club on campus I firmly believe
that we can make a difference at Rancho, and I am more than prepared and
capable of getting us there. I may not be as popular as other NHS members, but
those of you that have come to know me, know that I am the perfect fit for next
year's position as the NHS President. I am a determined, focused, and responsible
individual that knows how to prioritize, and I also am consider myself as very
organized and more than capable of running NHS alongside our next NHS
officers, for I work well with others. I strongly believe in the idea that we can
make a difference, and I have many fresh, adventurous ideas for next year in
NHS. I hope we can take a stand, and initiate something memorable for RVHS,
for these High School Years only happen once in a lifetime, and I am so excited
to be given this opportunity, and I acknowledge the dedication, and responsibility
that will be required from my part, but for all of this to happen of course, your
vote is necessary, so I need your vote Fellow NHS Member! Vote for Cynthia
for NHS President!!!
Princess Dela Cruz
I would be the perfect choice for Public Relations Officer because I have lots of
experience from being part of the Youth Advisory Committee for the City of
Perris. Since last year, I've worked as a Community Representative serving as a
bridge between the city's youth and adult officials. Within the committee, I am in
charge of promoting the Live Well Health Program of Perris and advertising for a
skate tournament that will be hosted this September. I've also gained a reputation
with some city officials such as the mayor, community services officials, as well
as urban development planners. I can carry over my commitments I've made for
my city and the experience I've gained there here to Rancho as Public Relations
Officer for NHS.
Evelyn Mendoza
Hey guys my name is Evelyn Mendoza and I am running for NHS vice president. I
believe that I am perfect for this position because I am a creative person that has
many ideas in mind. I am also a responsible, reliable, positive person who is easy
to collaborate with. I will devote my time and energy to make next year's NHS one
to remember. Vote for me guys!
Randy Molina-Aguilera
I would like to be you're next NHS Vice President because as a leader, I believe
that I can successfully carry on the event planning incorporated with the position.
In addition to event planning I am also enrolled in advanced classes that have
prepared me to efficiently tutor students in the after school program. Along with
tutoring, as you're Vice President, I plan to create more engaging fundraisers that
will get more NHS students involved as oppose to just attending meetings on late
starts. If elected, I promise to incorporate more interactive, fun events and carry
the tutoring program forward.
Betzaida Salazar
As an RV Scholar I have taken so much responsibility with several honors and
AP classes since my freshman year. I have been able to be as organized as I
could be in order to achieve success at Rancho Verde. I have been able to work
hard and sufficiently in order to achieve good grades. I would like to be a
secretary for NHS because I believe that I have responsibility and can take on
this job in an organized way whether it is for NHS tutoring or helping organized
a meeting. Even if I do not get the position of secretary, I am willing to be open
to any other type of position. My main goal is to contribute to the National
Honors Society club and help make it run smoothly and take part into getting
events and meetings organized. I think that I can be a good secretary but I am
opened into taking any other position even if I was the historian, which was my
second choice as an officer. I am willing to dedicate my time and effort into
being an officer of NHS. If I were a secretary I know that I will work hard when
it comes to tutoring and also helping out with meetings. I know that I can help
contribute not only the officer position but also help volunteer in other events we
carry out at Rancho Verde.
Gloria Olivas
I personally would like to become a historian as my life career, so recording big
NHS events would bring me much joy. I would go above and beyond to keep NHS
memories alive.
Autum Coronado
My Name is Autum Coronado and I am signing up for treasurer. I want to be
treasurer because I believe that it involves one f my special skills. I like math and
it is one of my special skills.I am good at organizing and saving money.I feel I can
do a good job setting the budget, raising money, and finding new ways to earn and
raise money for NHS. I am suitable for the job because I am organized and
responsible enough to do the job well.
