Attention all Huntingdon County residents! This is your
chance to be someone’s hero! CHAMP (Creating Hope And
Making Progress) is a 12 hour dance marathon where students
from Huntingdon, Juniata Valley, Southern Huntingdon, and
Mount Union high schools come together to raise money while
having fun, and uniting our communities. This year’s theme is
“we can be heroes!” The money raised is donated to families in
need throughout the 4 school districts. We are looking for 4
more families to help financially; one from each school
district. In order to find a family to help, CHAMP is asking
community members to write us concerning a family in need
that would be able to benefit from our assistance. Please
address the letter as “Dear CHAMP,” also the letter should be
sent to Matt Baer at 2400 Cassady Ave. Huntingdon, PA
16652 (Huntingdon Area High School). Tell us a full, detailed
description of the family you believe would benefit most from
receiving this donation. Also, please state which school
district the family lives in. It is imperative to tell us their
full story, how we can contact the family in need, as well as
where they live all before January 1, 2016. We cannot do this
