Julia’s House – 10k run Matt Wash will be running 10k to raise valuable funds for Julia’s House on 8th October 2017 If you would like to sponsor Matt in his endeavour please use this link https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/mattywash Many thanks Friends of Piddle Valley CE First School Many thanks once again to all the valuable members of the PTA for another great event. The Race Night held on the 5th May was very much enjoyed by everyone and the evening managed to raise over £800. Particular thanks to Claire, Ali and Hannah for their organisation of the event and to James Bowey for doing a great job with the compering. Also thanks to our gents on the tote. We need your help please! June Jamboree You will see various pledges and requests going up around school for help with the biggest event of the year. We are holding a meeting next Monday 22nd May from 3.30pm and we would really appreciate as many volunteers as possible could come along to get involved. Lists of stalls are going up on classroom doors shortly for parents/teachers to pick their desired stall. We are very open to more ideas, so please add these to the bottom of the list. In the meantime please note that there will be a non-school uniform day on Friday 26th May in exchange for a tombola prize please. Plates will also be hitting the book bags in due course and we would be very grateful for any sweet/savoury bakes for our Tea and Cake stall. The Future of the PTA Claire and Ali will be stepping down from Chairing and organising events, therefore if anyone is interested in filling their shoes they would love to hear from you. If you would like to put something in writing, please email the school or pop a note in at the school office or catch them around school and have a chat. As a school we appreciate everything that the parents and volunteers do for the school. With funding as it is we rely heavily on our PTA for much needed resources.
