Our book will be ‘The Story of Peter Rabbit’ and we will be doing the bunny hop dance at circle time. Week 3 will be dedicated to the animals we find in the zoo. We will be reading ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear’ and ‘Put Me in the Zoo’. We will snack on animal crackers, move like the zoo animals and make zoo animal masks. Finally, week 4 will be fun as we learn about farm animals. The kids always love this week. We will be reading ‘Robert the Rose Horse’ and ‘Mr. Brown can Moo’. We will talk about milk and where it comes from and even play animal charades! All month long we will be focusing on our changing weather with an emphasis on rain, wind and sun.
