How about race your parents with a parachute on your back? If your answer is yes, make sure you visit the free Kid’s Fun Zone at the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival. The Kid’s Fun Zone is open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, June 14 and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, June 15. Kids will be entertained for hours with Babin’s House of Party, a wildly entertaining children’s performance group. Babin’s House of Party organizes games the whole family can enjoy as well as games appropriate for children of all sizes including sack races, dancing competitions, giant bubble towers and the firing of the daily candy cannon which erupts candy all over the Kid’s Fun Zone each afternoon. In addition, don’t miss the live reptile shows featuring baby alligators, snakes and more by Alligator Alley on Saturday from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Kids can also enjoy hours of fun exploring the South Alabama Antique Tractor Clubs display of more than 50 classic tractors and their implements which do anything from shucking corn to making homemade ice cream. The tractor display is open Friday from 2pm-8pm and Saturday from 8am to 8pm. Kids can also enjoy hours of fun with outside of our Kid’s Fun Zone with activities available for a nominal fee including Pony Rides, a Children’s Petting Zoo, Bungy Jumps, Rock walls, Inflatable games like jousting, slides and more. ##
