Players must be fully registered with NDNA to take the court. Penalties will apply to any team found with unregistered players. NDNA 2017 Player Handbook 3|Page Penalties Please ensure you are aware of the following penalties which will be applied as & when they occur as per the NDNA Standard Operating Policies & Procedures. Your Games Controller will have a copy of these. All fines must be paid prior to the next competition game. Infringement Penalty Playing an unregistered player Forfeiting of the game and no goals for that fixture game to be recorded for the infringing team. If a team plays an unregistered player on more than one occasion in a competition, that team must show cause as to why they should be allowed to continue to play in that competition. Failure of a team to supply an umpire: $50 fine if NDNA is able to source a replacement umpire, or 2 x game fees as applies to that competition if the game has to be abandoned + a loss of two competition points for the team that failed to supply an umpire. The NDNA Management committee reserves the right to assess the circumstances surrounding a team failing to supply an umpire and may request that team to show cause as to why they should be allowed to continue to participate in NDNA competitions. Failure of a Club/Team to pay required fees $50 fine + forfeiting of the game and no goals for that fixture game to be recorded for the infringing team. Forfeiting a game Fine equal to 2 X game fees for that particular competition and no points awarded. Teams are encouraged to play a ‘scratch match’ to avoid the forfeit fine. These points are used to determine play offs for Semi’s and finals only. NDNA 2017 Player Handbook 5|Page Finals Series A clear winner has to be established in all these games. If a game is unable to be played due to adverse weather the game will be rescheduled. Semi Finals are played between the 1st and 2nd teams and 3rd and 4th teams. These teams are established on points basis at the conclusion of rounds. Preliminary Finals are played between the loser of the 1st and 2nd and the winner of the 3rd and 4th teams. Young Children All children are welcome at our courts, however we would ask that parents be especially mindful of young children. Please keep them away from the sides and in-between courts. Umpires have a duty to keep their eyes on the game which means they may not see a young child in front of them which could lead to a serious accident. Be aware of where your child is at all times. They are extremely dangerous to umpires and players and will be confiscated. Pets Pets will not be welcome at any NDNA venues. If you bring your pet to the McKinnon Drive grounds they must be restrained at all times for the safety of players, umpires, officials and spectators.
