The Team Coach/Contact

Penalties
Please ensure you are aware of the following penalties which will be applied as & when they occur as per
the NDNA Standard Operating Policies & Procedures. Your Games Controller will have a copy of these.
All fines must be paid prior to the next competition game.
Infringement
Penalty
Playing an unregistered player
Forfeiting of the game and no goals for that fixture game to be
recorded for the infringing team. If a team plays an
unregistered player on more than one occasion in a
competition, that team must show cause as to why they should
be allowed to continue to play in that competition.
Failure to comply with rules of play as
set down in AANA Official Rule Book
and SOPP.11
Forfeiting of the game and no goals for that fixture game to be
recorded for the infringing team.
Failure of a team to supply an umpire:
$50 fine if NDNA is able to source a replacement umpire, or 2 x
game fees as applies to that competition if the game has to be
abandoned + a loss of two competition points for the team that
failed to supply an umpire.
The NDNA Management committee reserves the right to
assess the circumstances surrounding a team failing to supply
an umpire and may request that team to show cause as to why
they should be allowed to continue to participate in NDNA
competitions.
Failure of a Club/Team to pay required
fees
$50 fine + forfeiting of the game and no goals for that fixture
game to be recorded for the infringing team.
Forfeiting a game
Fine equal to 2 X game fees for that particular competition and
no points awarded.
Teams are encouraged to play a ‘scratch match’ to avoid the
forfeit fine. To play a scratch match you must have at least 3
registered players of your team. In this instance of a ‘scratch
match’ the penalty will be forfeiting of the game and no goals
for that fixture game to be recorded for the infringing team.
The opposing team cannot refuse to play a ‘scratch match’.
Uniform Infringement
Teams/players must be in their registered uniform by the 4 th
fixture game. New players have 4 calendar weeks from
registration to conform to the club/team dress code.
A player not in correct uniform may be directed by Umpires or
Management Committee members to leave the court.

Finals Series
A clear winner has to be established in all these games. If a game is unable to be played due to adverse
weather the game will be rescheduled.
Semi Finals are played between the 1st and 2nd teams and 3rd and 4th teams. These teams are
established on points basis at the conclusion of rounds.
Preliminary Finals are played between the loser of the 1st and 2nd and the winner of the 3rd and 4th
teams.
Grand Finals are played between the winner of semi final between 1st and 2nd and the winner of the
preliminary final.
A team must field a minimum of 5 players for a finals game otherwise they will lose on forfeit.
In the event of a draw at the end of a finals series game, there shall be a two minute interval at the end of
full time. Team changes are allowed at this time. Play will then continue for two halves of 5 minutes with
no half time interval. Teams shall change ends at half time. No team changes are allowed. If the game is
still a draw, play carries on until one team has a two goal advantage. During extra time, normal injury or
illness procedures shall apply.
Competition Draw
The draw will be published on NDNA’s website. If in any doubt as to the time of your game please phone
your team contact/coach.
Adverse Weather
NDNA recognises that adverse weather conditions present some level of risk that can harm participants of
NDNA indoor and outdoor competitions. Cancellation of events may occur to protect the safety of
members participating in or driving to an event.
If a game has been cancelled due to adverse weather NDNA will post a message on the NDNA website
(http://www.noosa.qld.netball.com.au/), NDNA Facebook page and your Team Contact will be contacted.
Your team contact then is responsible for contacting each player in their team. Please make sure your
team contact has your current telephone number.
Young Children
All children are welcome at our courts, however we would ask that parents be especially mindful of young
children. Please keep them away from the sides and in-between courts.
Umpires have a duty to keep their eyes on the game which means they may not see a young child in front
of them which could lead to a serious accident. Be aware of where your child is at all times.
If there is a spare court, young children are welcome to use this. The small Bouncy Hand Balls are not
allowed on our courts. They are extremely dangerous to umpires and players and will be confiscated.
Pets
Pets will not be welcome at any NDNA venues. If you bring your pet to the McKinnon Drive grounds they
must be restrained at all times for the safety of players, umpires, officials and spectators.

teams. A member must be financial with NDNA to be able to vote at an AGM.
Canteen
The canteen is open on Saturday mornings and Carnival days with drinks, chips, lollies, tea and coffee
