You will be required to work a total of 16 hours and in return you will receive one free four
day weekend Pass including camping/caravan.

Shifts are in blocks of 4 or 8 hours.

Expect to work either a Friday or Saturday night shift.

Will be expected to attend a team meeting prior to when we open the arena.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BAR/CAFE STAFF NEW FOREST FOLK FESTIVAL
1. You must be at least 18 years of age on 5th July 2017. All Stewards must present photo ID when
checking in at the start of the Festival.
2. You must be willing to work 16 hours between July 5th – July 9th. Shifts per day can either be a
single eight hour shift or two four hour shifts.
You may choose any time slots on page 1 of the application form but you must work either a
Friday or Saturday night.
Priority will be given to those who can arrive on Wednesday morning/early afternoon and who will
still be available on Sunday evening.
In return you will receive one free four day weekend pass and one free arena camping pass.
3. All Stewards must attend a Health and Safety Induction before their first on-site duty and be
aware of the Emergency procedures in place on the site.
4. Duties can be at anytime from 11am through to 12 midnight. You will be expected to do one day
shift and one evening shift of 8 hours.
5. Applications will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis. Late applications will obviously
be considered but there is no guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requirements.
Please understand that it may not be possible to fully meet your requests for certain days and
time slots for duty; duties are allocated to your preferences where possible but no guarantees.
6. Please make us aware of any disabilities or medical conditions that restrict the duties you can
perform so that you can be allocated suitable jobs.
7. Drinking alcohol whilst on duty is not permitted at anytime. Whilst on duty you should be free
from the various influences of alcohol or any other substances that may affect your performance.
8. On arrival you will be given your Steward pack. Rotas will not be available prior to the festival as
they will be subject to change.
Make sure you contact the Stewards Office frequently during the weekend to keep abreast of any
changes.
9. Due to insurance and health and safety considerations, it will not be possible for children to be
with you whilst on duty.
10. Each Steward will receive a Stewards' pass or wristband which admits them to the car park,
camping and arena at all times. Badges or lanyards, if provided, must also be worn while on duty.
Stewards will also receive one free four day weekend pass and free preferential arena camping.
We need to know in advance if you are bringing a caravan or camper van as space is limited or if
you require a space for disabled parking or camping.
