Time for a sneak peek…
You might be looking at the leaders who have increased their portfolios by up to to $8,000 and
wondering what they are doing?
To help answer your question, this fortnight we are taking a sneak peek at the trading activity of a few
of the leaders.
The top 10 syndicate strategies: Amongst the top 10, there is a mix of strategies, 3 have chosen to
buy and hold, 2 are mostly buy and hold, they have sold one or twice and 5 are using a buy and sell strategy. The most popular stocks traded by the top 10 include A2M, EVN, MSB, and OSH.
An inside look – 3 portfolios: Three syndicates have been chosen randomly* from the top ten. We have disguised their identity
and kept a couple of their stocks hidden. There is no point copying their portfolio this misses the point as the Game is all about
learning by doing things yourselves. And anyway these shares may have already shown their greatest gains.
Syndicate A is holding 6 shares. They have bought 12 times and sold twice. When selling they have taken small profits. They
have then invested further in some of the stocks originally purchased, adding more to their portfolio. All of the stocks they have
purchased, have increased in price. The stocks they are holding at present include ORG, MSB, FMG and two others.
Syndicate B has been mostly buy and hold. They originally purchased 5 stocks. Selling only one of those stocks and taking
profits. The stocks they hold are A2M, BAL and 2 others. The sectors they have invested in include consumer staples, comsumer
discretionary, materials and financials.
Syndicate C this syndicate has bought and sold quite a bit. Buying 15 times and selling 9 times. The have sold to take profits, but
also haven’t been afraid to quickly sell a stock if it a stock isn’t performing. The stocks they are holding at present include A2M,
JBH, NEC and 2 others.
