2011 VINTAGE CIRCUIT PRO TOUR RULES
Cleated tracks are not allowed in any C.P.T. class.
The maximum length of studs is 3/8” above the highest point of the track.
Winners should expect to have their sled inspected by the tech. director, after the race. If some rules are not
observed, penalties will be imposed. Penalties could be up to disqualification.
In the VINTAGE classes, the amount of the registration will be 55. $ can. . CPT will keep 10. $ for
administration fee plus 8. $ for the points fund. $10 ambulance fund. The remaining $27. $ times the number of entries will be
the total purse for the class. Purse distribution will be the regular pay back system.
2011 Vintage Circuit Pro Tour RULES
General Rules and Regulations, ISR Yearbook 2010 - 2011, p. 16 to 23 AND General Competition Rules &
General Snowmobile Requirements, in the oval section page 64, does apply to VINTAGE racing
(unless otherwise specified in the VINTAGE section of the YEARBOOK, pages 73 to 76).
VINTAGE rules are in the 2010 - 2011 International Snowmobile Racing Yearbook, pages 73 to 76.
CIRCUIT PRO TOUR will not offer the following VINTAGE classes which are listed in the Yearbook:
STOCK, SUPER STOCK, RELIC MOD., SPORT MOD., PRO MOD. AND OLDER and IFS SNO PRO X.
4 VINTAGE SUPER MOD. classes will be offered: (ISR YEARBOOK, page 75)
- SUPER MOD. 340 (free air or fan cooled), 358 c.c. maximum
- SUPER MOD. 440 (free air or fan cooled), 464 c.c. maximum
- SUPER MOD. 800 (free air or fan cooled), 836 c.c. maximum
- SUPER MOD. 440 LIQUID (leaf suspension), 464 c.c. maximum
1 VINTAGE IFS SNO PRO class will be offered: (ISR YEARBOOK, page 76), (see the following NOTE)
- IFS SNO PRO 440, (independent front suspension, 1982 or older), 464 c.c. maximum
NOTE:
Circuit Pro Tour will offer a VINTAGE IFS SNO PRO 340 class (358 c.c. maximum) IF THERE IS A
MINIMUM OF 5 ENTRIES. IF THERE IS NOT 5 ENTRIES, THE DRIVER WILL HAVE 2
OPTIONS:
1- TO BE REIMBURSED2- TO RACE IN THE VINTAGE IFS SNO PRO 440 class.
GENERAL SNOWMOBILE REQUIREMENTS: (ISR YEARBOOK, page 73)

DRIVE
1. (Mandatory in all classes except Stock and super Stock where it is recommended). The clutch cover
must be separate of cowl configuration and cover clutches down to center of clutch bolt or below.
Must be .060 inch, 6061T6 aluminum or equivalent steel material and be covered with 6 inch wide
belting. (ISR YEARBOOK, page 64)

SKI SUSPENSION AND STEERING
Leaf Spring Snowmobiles must have functional steel leaf springs.
Springs must be steel or OEM-for-the-model if some other material.
IN ALL CLASSES: Offset ski stance not allowed unless produced by the OEM for the model.
All IFS snowmobiles must have a minimum of two (2) inches of compression travel with the rider on the
snowmobile. Travel measured at bumper.
TRACK SUSPENSION
1. All IFS snowmobiles must have a minimum of two (2) inches of compression travel with the rider on the
snowmobile. Travel measured at bumper.
2. Springs must be steel or OEM-for-the-model if other material.
TRACK AND TRACTION
1. No cleated tracks allowed.
2. Traction devices must conform to Oval Sprint rules.
FRAME AND BODY
1. Engine, chassis and components ID numbers should be maintained, but are not required as in Oval Sprint.
2. Maximum overall width of any snowmobile is 45 inches (outside of skis or body, whichever is wider).
IGNITION AND ELECTRICAL
1. Programmable ignition systems allowed in all classes. Ignition reprogramming is not allowed in staging
area or on the racetrack.
2. Any OEM production taillight, with the brake element on whenever the engine is running is mandatory.
SUPER MOD. RULES (ISR YEARBOOK, page 75, 2nd column)
1. Any 1985 or older Stock Qualified leaf spring model allowed.
2. 1972 and 1973 Chapparrals also allowed.
3. Chapparrals must maintain OEM front-end dimensions and use designated oil only shocks (no gas
shocks).
4. Approved part numbers for Chapparrals and OEM dimensions will be supplied.
5. On Chapparrals, sway bar must be used in OEM location. A larger diameter sway bar may be used. To
mount a larger diameter sway bar, the location may be moved up or down to clear drive.

1. Only 1982 or older IFS single-track limited production OEM racing snowmobiles allowed. No non-OEM,
aftermarket or custom designs allowed.
2. No Champ or Sprint chassis allowed.
3. Reproduction chassis are allowed but must be built using exact measurements of bulkhead of the original
production snowmobile. (i.e. A reproduction 78 IFS Ski-Doo must have tubular construction with the
same measurements of the original 78 IFS Ski-Doo race snowmobiles.)
ENGINE
1. The engine brand need not match the chassis brand.
2. Any 82 and older snowmobile engine is allowed.
3. No variable timing exhaust valves allowed.
4. Any internal modifications allowed to the engine.
5. External modifications allowed.
6. Intake and exhaust concept must be maintained.

8. Carburetors must be round slide type, no flat slide carburetors allowed. Fuel injection is not allowed.
9. Any exhaust allowed. A commercially available silencer is required.
