Junior Deleon Junior starting coaching at the Midget AAA level in 2004 with the Penticton Thunder. In 2005 he became the Head Coach of the S.O.M.B.A Tigers as well as their Program Director. Junior spent 6 years as a Jr Instructor at the Okanagan Big League Experience summer camps. In 2014, Junior was an Assistant Coach with Team BC at the National Championships in Magog, Quebec and helped that team finish with a 6-2 record. In 2015, Junior moved to Chilliwack to become an Assistant Coach with the Chilliwack Midget AAA program, and helped guide a very young team to the Semi Finals of the BC Provincial Championship. Junior is also now an Assistant Coach with the University of the Fraser Valley Baseball Program that plays in the Canadian College Baseball Conference. Junior spends time coaching catchers and outfielders. Junior will be taking on the Head Coach position with the Bantam AAA program in 2016 & 2017 and has started putting together a very competitive baseball club. Kyle Lotzkar Kyle is going into his 2nd year as Pitching Coach with the UFV Cascades. Kyle brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Kyle was drafted in the 1st Round of the 2007 MLB draft by the Cincinnati Reds. Kyle went on to have a 9-year professional career and now looks to share his knowledge with young hopeful pitchers ay UFV. Kyle was with the Canadian Sr. National Team that went on to win two Gold Medals. Kyle has been with Coach Corness since the age of 11 years old and has a great understanding of the development and process it takes to become a quality pitcher. Kyle will also be taking charge of the strength and conditioning portion of the program. He has coached from the Little League 12 year old level up to the top University in Canada. He has seen several of his students go on to the Professional level as well as college and university. Most recently, two of his students were taken in the 1st and 4th round of the Major League Baseball Draft. Overall Shawn has seen 18 of his players and clients go in the MLB Draft. After 3 years as the Head Coach at Kwantlen College, where he guided the Eagles to a Canadian College Baseball Conference Championship, Shawn was given the opportunity to become the Pitching Coach for the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds. UBC is the top colligate program in Canada and is the only University to play in a United States conference. In his first year as Pitching Coach at UBC he helped their pitching staff attain a top ranking in the NAIA and a trip to the 2006 World Series. In the last 5 years his pitching staff had been ranked the #1 overall pitching staff in the NAIA and has remained in the top 5 out of 225 Universities. This past September he became the first ever Head Coach of the University of The Fraser Valley’s Baseball program based in Chilliwack that will play in the CCBC. Shawn has coached multiple Provincial and National Championship Teams, most notably Team Canada at the World University Games when they finished 5th in the world, a best ever finish for Canada. Shawn took over the Midget AAA Team in Chilliwack 3 years ago and in their first year guided them to the Gold Medal at the Western Canadian Championships. Shawn is one of the Top Baseball Coaches in the country and continues to develop kids from 5 years of age to professional players. He has a great passion and understanding of how to teach the game. His teaching style is perfect for the beginner to the elite player.
