Holiday Requests
Disco
Since September, we have had 26 holiday
requests for time off within term time.
Attendance at school is of the upmost
importance for your child’s education and
welfare. Please note that unless there is an
exceptional circumstance for their absence,
these requests will not be authorised by the
school. Education is vital.
A huge thank you to the Friends of Stocks Lane
for running a very successful and well attended
disco. We made a grand total of £353 which will
contribute towards events and supplies in school.
Talent Show
This week a number of students have been
asking for a spare P.E. kit for their Physical
Education lessons. Could you ensure that your
child's P.E. kit is in school for them to use.
A massive well done to our participants in
Queensbury’s Got Talent Contest! Thank
you to Katie Brook and Hannah Green for
stepping in at the last minute and giving a
wonderful performance. We also enjoyed a
beautiful poetry recital from our very own
Izzy Barrington - it was exceptional. You are
all stars, keep up the brilliant effort!
Thank you to all for coming and the adults for
organizing and running it.

How to contact school
For the health, welfare and safety of your child,
please ensure that you take time to accompany
them into the playground and wait until the
teaching staff have collected them (Reception to
Year 5) every morning. A number of parents are
parking and allowing their children to run into the
playground from their car unsupervised. If you
are late and the door is closed the children
cannot gain access. As you will appreciate, this
causes undue stress and anxiety to your child.
After 9:00am parents must bring their children to
the office and sign them in. Thank you for your
co-operation.
Please note that if you have any concerns or
issues regarding your child that you would
like to speak to their class teacher about,
then please ring the office to make an
appointment with them in the first instance. If
you require further help then please ask to
make an appointment to see Mrs Kilvington
or Mrs Neal. All information can be found in
our school prospectus which can be found on
our website.
Thank you
Willow Chicks
In Willow Class, this week, we have been delighted to announce the birth of four baby chicks.
The chicks hatched between Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon, and are now living
happily in their cage in the classroom. They are yet to be named and once big enough they will
live outside in our new chicken enclosure. The whole school has been educated on the life cycle
of a chicken and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting our new Stocks Lane family members.
Thank you to any parents and children who watched our live feed and saw the first two chicks
hatch, it was a fantastic experience for everyone to see.
