Race Start
Below are all Approximate Times, Please Do Not Leave the Start Area as These Are
Approximate Times
After the race briefing, competitors will be asked to line up in the following format inside the
barriers.
Race Start times are as follows:
09:00am – Gran Fondo
10.00am – Medio Fondo
When the race starts, every competitor must follow the set out course and OBEY ALL
RACE MARSHALS.
N.B. – Do not cross the starting mat before your wave start time as doing so will result
in an erroneous time that will not be corrected.
Food Stops

Lettergesh National School ( 50km Gran Fondo)
o Marquee serving Tea/Coffee/Water/Sandwiches/Fruit
o Toilets available

Ashleigh Falls (81.0km for Gran Fondo & 29.5km for Medio Fondo)
o Marshal will have water, bananas & snacks available

Drummin National School ( 104km Gran Fondo & 53km Medio Fondo)
o Marquee Serving Tea/Coffee/Water/Sandwiches/Fruit
o Toilets available in the School
Gran Fondo competitors will pass all of the above 3 stops
Medio Fondo competitors will pass Ashleigh Falls & Drummin National School.
There are bins at all of the above stops so please do not litter.
After you crossed the Finish line
After you cross the finish line signage and marshalls will direct you to bike set down
area where competitors can:
Proceed into the food marquee for refreshments.
In the hall of the Quay School local physios and massage therapists will be available and
complimentary to competitors.
Remember to collect your bike before leaving the finish line.
Additional Important Information
Recovery (Spa Sula)
For those of you who want to ease your tired muscles after the race, Spa Sula at the Westport
Plaza & Castlecourt Hotels and Spa Veda at the Westport Coast Hotel is quickly filling up on
the Saturday and Sunday. To view our treatments and to make a booking, visit our website

Race After Party
We are hosting a party on Saturday night in the Ashleigh Suite of the Castlecourt Hotel at
7.30pm. The party includes a FREE Buffet Meal for ALL competitors; prize giving and Live
Entertainment. The Prize Giving will take place at 9.30pm. This is a great opportunity to
catch up with all your fellow competitors and discuss the race!
If you wish to bring a partner to the Race After Party, the charge for Buffet Meal is €15.00
and Includes buffet meal in the Ashleigh Suite with Live entertainment. You can purchase
tickets for partners and friends at registration on Friday night.
Results
Race results will appear online after the race on www.westportgranfondo.ie.

use bins at every opportunity.

We would ask everyone to keep children under supervision at all times particularly in
and around the race course.
