Touchdown Club Members As we embark upon the 2011 football season, I wanted to take some time to update our
Touchdown Club members on where our Kimberly Football program currently is and where we are
planning on going. I am extremely excited about the opportunity and the challenge of taking over the
Kimberly Football program. The expectations will continue to be high for our program and our
coaching staff and our players will embrace these expectations. There will be some changes within the
program, but many of our philosophies will not change. We will continue to develop positive
character traits in our players so they leave our program better young men. We want to continue to
outwork our opponents and focus on controlling the things we can control. Finally, we will attempt to
build effective, selfless leaders in our football program.
Although there will be some changes in our coaching staff, many of our coaches will be
returning. Dean Matsche is continuing to do an unbelievable job with our strength and conditioning
program. One of the keys to the success of our football program is that our entire staff works
collaboratively with one another. We have outstanding freshmen coaches in Mike Chalupny, Aaron
Hank, Matt Hoh, and Tony Schaaf. Jim Johnson and Jake Pasch will be joining our staff this year
and helping out with the freshmen. Nic Peters, a Kimberly football alum, will also be joinng our
coaching staff this year.
Mike Verstegen will once again be coaching our offensive line, Pete Greeninger will work with
our running backs and Ryan Hinkse will be coaching our wide receivers. Defensively, Josh Heisler
will be working with our linebackers along with Steve Pratt with Chris Biolo working with our
defensive line. Joining our defensive coaching staff is Dillon Maney who formerly was the Defensive
Coordinator for Luxemburg Casco. He will be working with our defensive backs and helping Coach
Heisler coordinate our defense.
Our football players have been working extremely hard in the off-season. Our summer
workouts have been fast-paced and intense. Our staff is excited about working with such fine,
hardworking young men. Each season we rely heavily on our seniors and this season will be no
different as our coaching staff will count on their leadership. This year the strength of our team will
be our defensive line. As always, we will rely heavily on our senior offensive linemen throughout the
entire season to lead the way to big yardage from our backs. We have good depth at all of our skill
positions, particularly in the defensive secondary and again at running back. The key to our season
this year will be staying healthy, particularly at linebacker and on the offensive line.
I want to thank the Touchdown Club members for everything they do for our entire Kimberly
Football Program. The Touchdown Club is such an important piece of making our football program
successful. We will continue to communicate with our members throughout the year, but in an
attempt to “Go Green” will be posting our newsletters on our Kimberly Football Website which can be
found on the Kimberly High School website under “Athletics” or by typing the following website

Thank you again for your support of the Kimberly Football Program!

COACH JONES
I grew up in Stevens Point, WI and went to college at UW-Stevens Point where I
played football and served as the wide receiver and tight end coach for the Pointers
during my last semester. My football coaching career continued at Baraboo High
School where I was the Defensive Coordinator my first year then the Offensive
Coordinator for the next two years. After gaining valuable experience in Baraboo, I was
fortunate to receive a teaching and coaching position in 2005 for The Kimberly School
District. I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of a wonderful school district and such a
successful football program. My wife Carrie and I currently reside in Wrightstown.
