Purpose (Unique value add)
Operate and maintain, under direction, the five eastern wastewater treatment plants and other duties as required ensuring safe, efficient and effective
operation to meet relevant Corporation and industry standards in order to maintain the safety and quality of treated wastewater, whilst undertaking a
Certificate 3 in Water Operations through a combination of on-the-job training, classroom and workbook learning.
Objectives
The objectives (maximum 6) of this role are to:
 Operate, maintain and provide emergency response for the following facilities in accordance with relevant Asset Management Plans, EMS and licence
conditions:
o
Wastewater treatment plants at Finger Point, Millicent, Mt Burr, Nangwarry and Naracoorte
 Ensure workplace WHS, environmental and water quality obligations are adhered to and maintained through personal compliance with legislation,
policies and procedures
 Perform, under general direction, field based construction, maintenance and operations activities, incorporating water and wastewater systems within
the wastewater treatment plants
 Contribute to the effectiveness of the work team through participation in required operations and compliance training
