Students who wish to concentrate in Finance must fulfill the following requirements: Students who wish to concentrate in Human Resources must fulfill the following requirements: Students who wish to concentrate in Marketing must fulfill the following requirements: Minimum grade of “C” in the following gate-in course: Minimum grade of “C” in the following gate-in course: 71-243 Human Resources Management Minimum grade of “C” in each of the following gate-in courses: 74-131 (or 74-231) Principles of Marketing 74-232 Marketing Problems – Applications & Decisions To be accepted into a concentration, a student must have completed all first year required courses and achieved a certain grade in that concentration’s gate-in course(s). To successfully obtain the concentration, a student must successfully complete all the requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce degree and must achieve a certain average grade for courses in the concentration and a certain grade in the concentration’s cap-stone course. Students who successfully complete the CFA Level 1 exam will be able to substitute this achievement in place of two of the five elective concentration courses. IMPORTANT NOTES: The substitutions above only apply toward the finance concentration and do not apply in any way toward the Bachelor of Commerce degree requirements. It is the student’s responsibility to bring forward the appropriate documentation in a timely manner in order to receive the above noted substitutions.
