Ricciardo Kart Racing and Kiern
Jewiss win WSK Champions Cup
in the OKJ class.
Rick Dreezen made it two podiums
for Ricciardo Kart Racing, coming
second in KZ2. Starting from third
on the grid, Rick was a front runner
right from the start and took the
lead in the closing stages. His
second place was built on a strong
showing in the Pre-final: starting
from the sixth row on the grid,
Rick was fifth as they crossed the
line for the first time and managed
to work his way up to third at the
chequered flag.
Rasmus Lindh also proved his

the results obtained right from

tried different solutions for Rick

chassis and the engine and the
final result confirms we made
the right choices. We need to
continue improving so that we
can be even more competitive

Historic first win for

On his debut in the Junior class
and on a wet track, Kiern Jewiss
delivered a perfect drive in the final:
from tenth place on the grid, Kiern
was immediately up amongst the
leaders. Some quick laps and an
overtaking masterpiece on the last
lap netted him first place in his DR01KFJ, giving the Ricciardo Kart Factory
Team a first win of the season.

competitiveness in the OKJ class.
The Swedish driver was fast all
weekend, both over a single lap and
during the race: having finished
fourth at the end of qualifying,
Rasmus fought for the top positions
in all the heats, even managing to
win one. Starting in second in his
Pre-final, Lindh fought for the top
positions, finishing in fifth place.
Starting from seventh on the grid
in the Final, the Swedish driver
dropped back down the order to
finish sixteenth, following contact
with other competitors.
Rickard Kaell, Sporting Director:
“I’m really happy with Kiern Jewiss’
victory in his first international race.
The wet track brought his driving
skills and the quality of the chassis
to the fore. The contacts Rasmus
Lindh had with other competitors
in the Final were disappointing
because both drivers could have
shown great potential, even
in dry conditions, and this
will allow us to continue
improving over the next
races. The team took some
major decisions before the
Final and I’m happy to have
finished on the podium, even
if I’m slightly disappointed
not to have won.”

was a chance to take lead,
so I decided to go for broke.
I’d like to thank Ricciardo
Kart for working closely with
me and continuing to push
hard. The result shows our
competitiveness as a team
and I’m looking forward to
getting back on the track for
the next race.”
Kiern Jewiss #333: “The difficult
start to the weekend did not
make life easy for me, especially
the 10 seconds penalty I was
awarded in the second heat. I
kept pushing and tried to gain
some positions in the Pre-final.
The goal for the Final was to win,

Rasmus Lindh #332: “We fought
for the top positions throughout
the weekend. Unfortunately,
the different performance of
the new tyres in the Final did
not allow us to have the same
results we managed in the
Pre-final and the heats. I’d
like to thank the team for their
outstanding work.”
Rick Dreezen #3: “It’s been
a good start to the season.
Although we had a few small
problems in the heats, we’ve
