Guide: Finding and registering your game console's MAC address Summary: This guide shows you how to find and register the MAC address of an Xbox, Xbox 360, or a PlayStation 2. Description: If you own an Xbox or a Playstation 2 and would like to be able to place it on the network, you will need to register it with IT Services. One of the things you need to submit is the MAC address, which allows us to identify your console so we can grant it access. This guide will show you how to find the MAC address of your Xbox or Playstation 2. Xbox: 1. Turn on your Xbox console with no game disc in the disc tray. 2. The MAC address is the 12-digit number at the bottom-right corner of the Network Settings screen. 5. Once you have the MAC address, you may proceed to the game console registration page and register your Xbox. Once the console registration is complete, allow 48 hours then you should be able to successfully connect your game console to the network. Select Edit Settings. Select Additional Settings. Select Advanced Settings. At the bottom of this screen you'll see a heading called Wired MAC Address, which is your MAC address. Once you have the MAC address, you may proceed to the game console registration page and register your Xbox 360 (Select Xbox at the Console Type selection). Once the console registration is complete, allow 48 hours then you should be able to successfully connect your game console to the network. Top of page Playstation 2 1. Power up the PlayStation 2 and load the Network Adaptor Startup Disc. 2. Once it has loaded, select ISP Setup and press X. 3. For connection type, choose Local Area Network (LAN) and press X to continue. 5. Select Automatic Configuration and press X to continue. At the Advanced Broadband Settings screen, make sure Automatic is selected. While you are at this screen, make note of the MAC Address at the bottom. Once you have the MAC address, you may proceed to the game console registration page and register your PlayStation.
