GAINESVILLE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT Alvey Precinct Because of the large number of voters in the precinct and the problems encountered at the Presidential Election, the precinct will be split. Voters in the area bounded by Little Bull Run, Antioch Road, Waterfall Road and Catharpin Creek will vote at Alvey Elementary School in the precinct named Alvey Precinct. The rest of the voters in the current Alvey Precinct will vote at Ronald Reagan Middle School (15801 Tanning House Place, Haymarket 20169), and the new precinct will be named Reagan Precinct. Battlefield Precinct To eliminate the 13th and 40th House District splits, the area south of I-66 (13th House District) will be merged with the Haymarket Precinct. To make it easier for voters to access their polling location, Battlefield Precinct will be divided east and west, with the voters in the western section continuing to vote at Battlefield High School, while voters in the eastern portion will vote at Sudley United Methodist Church (5308 Sudley Road, Manassas 20109). The new precinct will be named Catharpin Precinct. The dividing line would roughly be west of Catharpin Road to Logmill Road, ending where it meets Evergreen Precinct. Evergreen Precinct To eliminate a split in Evergreen Precinct, the segment of House District 40 will be merged with Battlefield Precinct which is in House District 40. Haymarket Precinct A segment of Battlefield Precinct with only 58 voters is in House District 13. This segment will be merged with the Haymarket Precinct. The voting location in Haymarket will be more accessible for these voters. The voting location for Haymarket Precinct will change to Pace West School (14490 John Marshall Highway, Gainesville 20155) because the Haymarket Town Hall is not of sufficient size for General Elections, and the old Pace West Building is in the process of being sold. Haymarket Town Elections will continue to be held in the Haymarket Town Hall Building (15000 Washington Street, Haymarket 20169). Mullen, Sinclair and Stonewall Precincts Stonewall and Sinclair Precincts on the east side of Sudley Road will be merged. They will vote at Stonewall Middle School, and will retain the name Stonewall Precinct. On the west side of Sudley Road, Stonewall and Mullen Precincts will be merged and then split east/west. The precinct to the west will continue to be Mullen Precinct and will vote at Mullen Elementary School. The eastern segment will vote in the Community Room at Bull Run Library (8051 Ashton Avenue, Manassas 20109). The precinct will be named Ashton Precinct. A1 GAINESVILLE DISTRICT / Alvey-Reagan Precincts The segment outlined in yellow is bounded by Little Bull Run, Silver Lake Road, Antioch Road, Waterfall Road, Catharpin Creek, Rt. 15 and Dominion Valley Drive. The voters in this precinct will continue to vote at Alvey Elementary School, and the precinct will continue to be named Alvey. The rest of Alvey Precinct will vote at Reagan Middle School and be named Reagan Precinct. A2 GAINESVILLE DISTRICT / Evergreen-Battlefield-Haymarket Precincts Battlefield Precinct divided: The segment outlined in green includes a segment of House District 40 from Evergreen Precinct which created a split in the Evergreen Precinct. The green segment will continue to vote at Battlefield High School and will continue to be named Battlefield Precinct. The segment outlined in purple will vote at Sudley United Methodist Church and be named Catharpin Precinct. The dividing line between Battlefield and Catharpin Precincts is Logmill Road south to Sudley Road, east to Catharpin Road and south to Catharpin Creek. The segment outlined in yellow is in House District 13 (and has only 58 voters) which creates a split in Battlefield Precinct. It will be merged with Haymarket Precinct which has the same districts. A3 GAINESVILLE DISTRICT / Reconfiguring Mullen-Stonewall-Sinclair Precincts The area east of Sudley Road (outlined in red) (merging Sinclair Precinct and Stonewall Precinct) will vote at Stonewall Middle School and be named Stonewall Precinct. The area west of Sudley Road (outlined in green) will continue to vote at Mullen Elementary School and continue to be named Mullen Precinct. The third area (outlined in yellow) (merging a portion of Stonewall Precinct and a portion of Mullen Precinct) will vote at Bull Run Regional Library and be named Ashton Precinct. A4
