Scholastic Book Fair, 2/1 - 2/5
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Many students use the library daily! They may come during open library times to
exchange books, use the desktop computers, read magazines, interact with our
MakerSpace, or seek assistance with ebooks and many other digital resources. Yes,
students can come every day! Students are allowed to check out up to 4 books at a
time, as long as they have no overdue books. They can always renew their books
anytime, it only takes a few seconds. To date we have circulated over 3,500 books!
We do our best to individually help each student
choose high interest and reading level
appropriate materials. Unfortunately, due to the
fact that a large amount of our books came from
other district libraries, many are well loved copies
of great children’s literature. Also many of our
nonfiction titles are outdated and therefore
unappealing to young readers. Our goals are to
replace tattered fiction titles and to increase the
amount of current nonfiction titles.
The Scholastic Book Fair is an excellent time to
help the Marsh Creek Library. Please consider
gifting a small amount or even a new book to
help build and maintain the Marsh Creek library
collection. Whatever dollar amount we raise,
Scholastic will match our donation in books to a
children’s organization. If we raise $250 for our
library, they will donate 250 books!
