Only afterwards you will be allowed to enter the paddock area. It is not allowed to park your vehicles on this road – please use the nearest parking lot. The registration has to be done by the team captain. Please do not bring more than two or three team members to the registration. To streamline the registration process and ensure short waiting times for everyone, please only come to the registration booth if you all of the following items ready: Cost Addendum (if applicable) Money for additional Team Members and the Campsite Fee (if not wired in advance), please have the exact amount ready if possible The License Plate number of the Vehicle you want to park in the paddock The knowledge who your Faculty Advisor/Safety Responsible (E-Cars only)/Team Captain is If you want to register additional team members, a list of their names If you do not have all of these things ready you will have to re-queue. So please be prepared! At the end of the registration process you will get the following things among others. You will also be asked to sign for them, so please check if you got all of them. Paddock vehicle pass Campsite wristbands Team member badges + covers + lanyards Event T-Shirts Dynamic “pass” Jackets (4 for C-Cars / 5 for E-Cars) Pits After you enter the paddock area with your team vehicle, please follow the instructions of the Pit Marshall about vehicle parking. You can identify your pit either by the plan below or the sign with your team name above it. The doors to the pit lane have to remain closed at all times – breaking this rule will lead to immediate penalties up to disqualification. Usage of tools that are noisy or represent a fire hazard (angle grinder, Dremel, welder,…) is prohibited. Please go to the power tool & welding area near the tilt table to work with them. 10 Team Captain’s Handbook Services Tire Changing Tire change is available on request – please come to the event control to arrange an appointment. Printing Printing Services are offered by our Partner AVL at the AVL Booth in the pits. Free WiFi Free WiFi is available around the Event Control. Instructions will be posted at the Event Control Entrance. Flipchart Paper If you need flipchart pages for your Cost Presentation, you can get them at the Event Control. Results & Announcements Results and Announcements will be posted to the Glass Entrance of the Event Control. Leaving the Event & Final Gala After the Endurance is over you should pack up and leave your Pit by 1900. After you have a FSA Official inspect your pit for cleanliness and have returned the Dynamic Jackets to the Event Control, you will be handed the vouchers for food and drinks at the Award ceremony Ramp to the Dynamic Area The ramp to the dynamic area is quite steep – so make sure that you have a driver properly seated in the car so that he is able to brake the car. Like on the rest of the site it is only allowed to move the car at walking pace. Smoking Smoking is only allowed next to the provided Ashtrays on the site. Emergencies If you have small injuries, please go to the medical center at the end of the pit lane. For major Emergencies and off-site accidents call the European emergency number 112. 11 Team Captain’s Handbook Scrutineering Tech Scrutineering is done on a first-come-first-served basis. The Scrutineering pit is a “dynamic area” so you need your dynamic jackets to enter If you get sent back to your pit for repairs/adjustments, you have to re-queue in the “continue” queue After you complete tech, you may do the driver egress check. All drivers have to come there to have their driver’s ID checked and to receive their driver’s wristband. Tilt & Noise To make sure that the car is in ready-to-run configuration for the official weighing at the tilt table, you will be required to do the noise test immediately after the tilt test. Also you need to mount the tire & rim combination that you intend to run in dry conditions. If you are not able to do the noise test (no fuel, missing parts, etc…), you will be required to re-do tilt &weighing before the next attempt. Brake Test The maximum amount of attempts per run is 3. After that you will have to re-queue for the brake test. 12 Team Captain’s Handbook Dynamic Events Event Closing The Events will terminate at the time indicated in the schedule unless announced otherwise. When the Event is over, a horn will sound. Cars that have already been green-flagged may complete their run (i.e. go over the finish line once). So please be sure to queue on time! Brake Lights Please note that a non-functioning brake light (never/always on) is considered a safety issue and that a car having this problem may be black-flagged during the endurance. Working on the cars inside the dynamic area During Skidpad and Acceleration working on the car is not allowed in the lanes leading up to the starting line. If you need to adjust your wings/pedals etc. between the runs, you have to leave the lane. During Autocross and Endurance work is allowed in the staging area (the area where you can warm up your engine etc.) but not in the lane leading up to the starting line. Using external Batteries to start the car is acceptable inside the dynamic Area but is prohibited as soon as the car is moving under its own power. If the car stalls and is not able to restart without assistance it has to abort the attempt and re-queue. 13
