The Tiger Clause:
Our Student Pledge
We, the students of Thompson, pledge to: Be on time everyday
and put forth our best effort by participating in the learning
opportunities offered to us, demonstrate good character at all
times and take responsibility for our actions.
We pledge to make our school a positive, caring environment in
which we respect our differences and where we pull others up
instead of putting them down.

PASSING PERIODS

Character Counts!
Pillar of the Month: CARING
Our experiences are the greatest influence on what kind of person we become. Answer
these questions (privately) to discover some of the things that make you, you! If you
don’t have time in homeroom, do this at home, it is worth getting to know yourself!
• What were the 3 most positive events in your life?
• What were the 3 most negative events in your life?
• What are your 5 greatest strengths? Are you using
these strengths everyday?
• What are your 3 greatest weaknesses or things you
would like to change about yourself?
• List 2 accomplishments that made you feel proud.

TOYS FOR TOTS
As of today, we have collected 94 toys as a school. Way to go tigers!
In first place so far is Mrs. Davini/Ms. Bois’s homeroom with 18 toys.
In second place so far is Mrs. Springsteen’s class with 16 toys.
In third place so far is Mrs. Hearne, Ms. McCoy, Ms. Lee and Mrs. Tharp’s
homerooms with 7 toys.
Remember, the top two collecting homerooms will have doughnuts provided
AND earn free time in the gym!
Our first school goal is 200 toys. Once we reach 200, then we will randomly
draw names from students that have donated toys to win candy prizes!
Once we reach 500 toys, we will randomly draw names from students that
have donated to win prizes from local businesses!
