ANNOUNCEMENT
EBEN GR
POSTGRADUATE PAPER COMPETITION
“BUSINESS ETHICS FOR SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC GROWTH”
Α. PAPER SPECIFICATIONS
1. During the submission of the paper the student has to be a postgraduate student (including the PhD
candidates).
2. The student has to be fluent in both Greek and English.
3. An Application & Abstract has to be sent by the end of January 2015 (to [email protected]).
4. The final paper has to be sent electronically (to [email protected]) by the 15th of April 2015.
5. The language in which the paper has to be submitted must be Greek.
6. The paper will be an individual and not team work.
7. Length of paper from 10,000-12,000 words, except for the tables and references.
Β. AWARDS
1. The person with the best paper will have to select as an award between (a) the presentation of his/her study
(in English), on the sponsor’s expenses, in Istanbul, during the three-day annual conference of EBEN Europe
(www.eben-net.org) and (b) accepting a scholarship in order to attend the postgraduate programme of the
University of Nicosia on business administration, in situ or by distance learning.
2. The second best paper will receive as an award the one which has not been selected (1, above)
3. The three best papers will be presented during a special event of EBEN GR.
4. The five best papers will be posted on the website of EBEN GR (www.eben.gr)
Γ. EVALUATION COMMITTEE – CRITERIA
A seven-member committee, consisting of four academics (Kavathatzopoulos Iordanis, Professor, Uppsala
University, Sweden, Papalexandri Nancy, Professor, Economic University of Athens, Filos Ioannis,
President of the Committee, Associate Professor, Panteion University and member of the board of EBEN
GR & Antonaras Alexandros, Assistant Professor, Management & MIS, University of Nicosia), two members
of the board of EBEN GR (Gortzis Antonis, President of EBEN GR & Dr Tsakonas Nickos, Vice President of
EBEN GR), a representative of a professional body (Michalos Konstantinos, President of Athens Chamber
of Commerce and Industry & President of the Central Association of Chambers)
The evaluation of the papers will be based on the blind review system. The criteria will be:





Structure and correlation of (a) the paper’s aims (b) the subject’s development and (c) conclusions /
suggestions(30%)
Additional data (potential use of tables, use of questionnaires & possible elaboration etc (20%)
Reference to the current Greek (or/and global) economic, social, institutional situation (20%)
Sources (variety, width, relevancy...) 20%
Originality of subject & contribution of the paper to science (originality etc) (10%)
