Scrabble® Challenge is an evening of fun and
friendly competition. Join us for dinner, learn about the terrific
beneficiary of this event, bid in the Silent Auction and let the
Scrabble games begin. Bring your book club friends, poker buddies
or your whole office! It’s the perfect opportunity to test your way
with words and turn tiles into
books! The games will be played with two teams comprised of two
players each. You may RSVP as a team or a single. Those registering
as a single will be paired with a teammate.
Your contribution helps BookEnds
donate books to underserved children throughout our community.
In the process we introduce kids to the power of community service.
Established in 1998, BookEnds has donated more than 2 million
books. With your help, BookEnds will collect and distribute over
200,000 books this year. To add to the evening’s fun, all attendees
will play in honor of one of our recipient schools.
The winners are the children of Los Angeles…and you!
At the end of the game, the team with the highest score in the casual
and competitive divisions will be named the evening’s winner. The
winning team members will have the opportunity to participate in
the heartwarming delivery of books in their honor to the recipient
schools. Awards will be presented for the first and second place
teams in each division. A good time is guaranteed for all!
