Make sure your iPhone and the Apple Watch are close together.
Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
Go to My Watch  Apple Watch, then tap “Unpair Apple Watch”
Tap again to confirm.
Wait for the watch face to unpair and restart. This may take several minutes.
This will create a backup of your Apple Watch before erasing all contents and settings on the watch. You can
use this backup to restore the watch later.
Resetting from the Watch (will NOT create a backup):
1. Navigate to the settings app on the watch face.
2. Go to General  Reset  Erase All Content and Settings
This will reset the watch to factory defaults
Troubleshooting:
Reset to Factory Defaults:
If for some reason, the watch has not been reset to factory defaults by the previous user or help desk staff,
follow these steps to reset the watch:
1. Connect the watch to the magnetic charger and make sure the charger is connected to a power source.
2. Press and hold the power button (flat button on right side of watch) until a “power off” slider option
appears on the watch face.
3. Firmly press and hold (but do not slide!) the “power off” slider. After several seconds, it will get slightly
smaller. After the slider shrinks, release the slider.
4. You will now see a button on the watch face with the option to erase all content and settings. Click this
button, then verify that you really want to continue by pressing the green check mark.
5. The watch will now restore to factory defaults and restart.
If you forget the watch passcode:
•
You can reset the watch through the app in your phone (see “Resetting from the Watch”)
OR
•
You can reset the watch to factory defaults by following the steps above (see “Reset to Factory
Defaults”)
Note: Both of these options will erase all content and settings on the watch
