HEALTH INSURANCE-Health insurance is offered to any employee working 30 or more hours a week. There is a 2 month waiting period before enrollment. Employee only policy Employee contribution is $100 per month or $50 per pay period Employee plus (1) policy-Employee contribution is $400 per month or $200 per pay period Family policy-Employee contribution is $525 per month or $262.50 per pay period DENTAL INSURANCE-Dental insurance is offered to any employee working 30 or more hours a week. There is a 2 month waiting period before enrollment. Employee only policy Employee contribution is $30 per month or $15 per pay period Employee plus (1) policy-Employee contribution is $60 per month or $30 per pay period Family policy-Employee contribution is $100 per month or $50 per pay period SICK LEAVE-4 days of sick leave a year. LIFE INSURANCE-Employees working 30 or more hours a week are guaranteed a $15,000 life insurance policy. FLEX SPENDING PLAN-Allows full-time employee to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars. Because these expenses are paid with pre-tax dollars, employees are taxed on a lower gross salary, thereby saving money that would otherwise be spent on federal, state and FICA taxes. There is a 90-calendar day waiting period before enrollment. DISABILITY INSURANCE-All full and part-time employees gone from work for more than a week due to illness or disability will be eligible for short-term disability insurance. The policy pays 67% of your salary for up to 12 weeks. Full time employees who are still unable to work after thirteen weeks will roll over into our long-term policy. Long-term disability insurance pays 60% of your salary until age 65. There is a 90-calendar day waiting period before enrollment. RETIREMENT ANNUITY-Any employee is entitled to enroll in our tax-deferred annuity. BVCA contributes $12.50 per pay period per month; the employee contribution is $6.25 per pay period. There are several options available and our agent will talk to you directly about them. MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT-$.54 per mile when using a private vehicle for BVCA purposes. ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE-Granted by an employee’s immediate supervisor when conditions or other special reasons exist which would make attendance at work dangerous, and when such factors present a threat to the health and safety of the employee. An employee may be granted time off with pay due to the death of an immediate family member for a maximum of three (3) days. An employee serving on jury/witness duty will present the official court check or other documentation of remuneration to the immediate supervisor who will arrange for the payment of the difference between regular wages and jury/witness duty compensation. Leave may last up to eighteen (18) working days per calendar year. SUPPLEMENTAL COVERAGE-Regardless of whether you enroll in BVCA Partnership’s health insurance, employees have the opportunity to purchase supplemental coverage through Assurity. Assurity is not medical insurance rather it pays you a certain amount of cash if you become hospitalized or have a serious health condition arise. UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE AND WORKERS COMPENSATION-All employees are provided workers compensation insurance and unemployment insurance. CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE CERTIFICATION (CDA)-Any Head Start Employee who need to obtain her/his CDA can do so. All fees for this certification will be paid by the Children & Youth Services Department. CREDIT UNION-Any employee may become a member of the First NE Educators & Employee Groups Credit Union in order to benefit from the various programs offered through a Credit Union, such as beginning a savings account or Christmas Club account. These accounts can be made through payroll deductions. INVOLUNTARY LIFE INSURANCE- Any full time employee can purchase additional life insurance at their expense. Revised 11/16
