QMSU SQUASH LADDER RULES 2016/17 FORMAT & RULES The Ladder is open to both men and women of all abilities. The ladder will run from Friday 30th September 2016 until Friday 9th June 2017 A random ladder draw will take place on Friday 30th September for all entries received up to that point. Entries received after 30th September are still permitted and will start from the bottom of the ladder. Players can challenge other players up to 3 places above them. If you win, you will go above the challenged player, if you lose you stay in the same position. Players must accept challenges and play their fixture within 10 days of the challenge. If the player being challenged refuses to accept the challenge and does not partake in the fixture this will be classed as an automatic loss for the player being challenged. Instances should be reported to the ladder organiser at [email protected]. Matches can be played at a time and location that is convenient to both players. Please note court fees are not included within your registration. Rackets are available for hire for matches played on the Qmotion Squash Courts Matches are played first to three sets Registration fees will be £5 for the ladder which includes prizes for the leading player and all administration. Once registrations have been confirmed you will be sent instructions for our online ladder organiser and contact details for all other players. MATCH RULES Playing rules will be in line with World Squash Federation regulations which can be found at http://www.worldsquash.org/ws/rules Matches will be played best of 3 games Each game will be scored to 11. If the score in a game is tied at 10-10, a player must win by 2 clear points. Players are responsible for making sure that they are not wearing any jewellery that could cause harm to themselves or other players. They must also ensure that they are wearing appropriate non-marking footwear. Any breach of this guideline may result in them not being allowed to play.
