Good Quality Pre-Shrunk
Poly Cotton Fabric
NB For Continuous Embroidery usingthe Placement Method always do aPrint-out of your
design before you start.
Method
Keep the Print-out handy for subsequent stitchouts. Use yourFabric Marker, Print-out and
Ruler to mark off the area of thenext design on your fabric. The Print-out must show the
centreof the design by a Horizontal and a Vertical line. Where theycross is the Centre.
1.
Hoop up a double layer of water soluble Vilene
2.
Cut a length of poly cotton fabric that you require for your project. Carefully spray fabric
adhesive onto the fabric and place in the hoop. Be sure to lay your fabric straight. Roll up
and carefully pin the extra fabric so that it is out of the way. Pin the Fabric onto which you
will be stitching out
onto to be sure that
it stays in place
3.
Stitch out the first colour. This will be the bottom of the design. If stitching out BES537,
BES538 or BES539, two extra lines will be stitched out as well. Carefully cut away the fabric
between the running stitch lines as well as the fabric along the bottom of the design.
4.
Place the hoop back in the machine and continue to stitch out the rest of the design. Follow your cholour chart while stitching out.
5.
Once the design is complete, you can proceed to the second hooping as follows:
Easy Placement Method:
1. Remove the embroidery and stabilizer from the hoop. Hoopanother 2 layers of Water-soluble
Stabilizer.
2. Trim away the excess WSS from the first embroidered piece.
3.
Now take the printed copy of the design and place it on thefabric strip. Make sure that the
embroidered design and the printed design are perfectly aligned.
4. Your Print-out must have a Horizontal Line and a VerticalLine on it - either drawn in or printed
on it. The centre of thedesign on the Print-out will be where the Horizontal and Vertical Lines
cross. Push a pin through the paper print here and mark this spot on your fabric with the Fabric
Pen. Using the Fabric Pen mark the left side spot where the Print design touches the end of your
previous embroidery. Now mark the right side where the embroidery print ends. Remove the paper print.
5. Take a ruler and draw a straight line across your fabric from the left spot to the right spot. Also
do a vertical line on the fabric at the centre. Your machine will embroider in this area.
6. Please make sure that you have enough space in the hoop in which to embroider the next
design. Now line up the centre of the design, which is marked, under your needle. The design is
now properly centred and will stitch out from here.
7.
To make a long strip you simply carry on in this way, trimming back the fabric and using
your Colour-Chart. Then use your Design Print and mark off the next embroidery area as
each design piece is done. Always make sure to work in a straight line.
8. f you have an Embroidery Grid it will show your lines to be straight. Otherwise look at the Hoop
- there should be markings on the Hoop as a guide.
