END ZONES (Active Start) EMPHASIS: 1v1 game. Dribbling Speed Change of direction FUN! 20m x 20m area. 5m “end zone” at each end of area. Each player has a ball and starts at one of the end zones. Parents start in centre area and act as defenders. On the coaches command the players try to dribble past their parent across to the opposite end zone. If the player gets across to the other side they get a point. If the parent manages to take the ball from the player, they can dribble the ball to the end zone themselves. The player becomes the defender. To begin, the players can hold the ball in their hands. This will allow them to get used to changing directions. The parents just try to touch the player before they can reach the end zone.
