ISW is forming Huzzah! Players, one of the first student-run theaters in the country.
Our goal is for students to learn about every aspect of production by doing: casting;
directing; managing the stage; running lights and sound; designing and creating
props, scenery, and costumes; choreographing; budgeting and marketing; and, of
course, acting, singing, and dancing, etc.
We are pleased to be accepting applications for Huzzah’s Founding Board. The
Board will:
Choose shows
Help create the artistic vision for each show
Coordinate promotion, marketing, and fundraising
Create and oversee budgets
Assist with casting
Committing to Huzzah! requires students to attend all meetings, complete
assigned work at home (e.g., budget, research on shows), and come to meetings
prepared to present.
Open To: Area students in 9th-12th grades during the 2016-17 school year.
Application Due: December 1, 2015. Applications can be emailed to
[email protected] or mail to ISW 130 Carriebrooke Drive Stephens City, VA 22655.
First Meeting: TBA January 2016. We will be holding elections at that meeting for
President, VP, and Secretary Treasurer.
