Salem, MA (May 30, 2013) – On this Memorial Day week, when citizens throughout Massachusetts and the
nation honored the sacrifice of military men & women, Major League Investments has announced that founder,
Michael Finer, has joined the National Veteran-Owned Business Association.
Major League Investments is an investment advisory, financial planning & tax strategies firm on
Massachusetts’ North Shore. The firm is led by military veteran Michael S. Finer, a Lieutenant Colonel in the
Massachusetts National Guard. Mr. Finer served as a Garrison Commander with the Army in Iraq from
2007-2008. He was also Commander of Task Force Yankee, a joint military unit of 500 soldiers and airmen,
who provided support and stability operations in the city of New Orleans during the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
“Although we have for many years served the financial planning, tax & investment needs of military veterans
and their families, we felt it was important to become more proactively involved in reaching out as a veteran
owned business here in Massachusetts,” said Finer; “It is an honor to serve the financial planning, tax & investment
