Social 30 - Economics Board Game Project

Social 30 - Economics Board Game Project
Planning Guidelines:
Your task is to design and create a board game suitable for
teaching the basic terms and concepts of economics to high school
students. Try to create an original and enjoyable game or use an existing
board game and transform it into an economic board game. Use your
notes, handouts, unit review sheet, textbook, the Internet as resources for
the game. Finally, construct the actual game, including all its components
and a set of clearly written instructions.
Remember to use vocabulary terms from the Economics unit. The
objective of the game should be to teach about Economics while playing
the board game. The textbook and the internet would be good resources.
Be sure that your game helps players review, learn and understand economic systems, philosophers, case
studies, vocabulary terms, etc., so the game is educational, informative and fun.
WARNING!
Do not use existing board games from the internet. This would result in getting an automatic ZERO for your
grade. NO EXCEPTIONS!
