Initialrostersforthe2017-18seasonwillbeannouncedbyJune1,2017andcanchangepriortothe
freezesetdatebyU.S.Soccer-usuallyearlyAugust2017.
Within48hoursoftheconclusionofthefinalon-fieldplacementsessions(after5/30),eachplayerwill
receiveaphonecallore-mailfromanFCBouldercoachindicatingteamplacement.Playerswillhave
12hourstoacceptordeclinetheirrosterspot.Pleasenotethefollowing:

Playersmayreceivenoticeatthefieldorviaaphonecallpriortotheconclusionofthe
placementeventwithnotificationoftheirplacement.
Playersthatarenotingoodfinancialstandingwiththeclubwillnotbeassignedtoa2017-18
rosteruntilarrangementsaremadewiththeFCBoulderofficetoaddressoutstandingpayment.
ThePlayerCommitmentContractandtheCommitmentFee(payablebycreditcard,cash,or
check),areduewithplayerregistrationonJune5th,butnolaterthanJune8,2017.

Forthe2017-18season,wewillformteamswiththefollowingguidelinessetforthbyU.S.Soccer

FCBoulderhastheabilitytolabelaplayerFull-TimeorasaDevelopmentalPlayer(DP).
ADPisa“bubbleplayer”,iseligibletotrainwiththeDevelopmentAcademyteamsandcanplay
inuptosix(6)gamesfortheDevelopmentAcademyteam.Aclubcanhaveanunlimited
numberofDPsatU12(2006),six(6)atU13(2005)andsix(6)at2004(U14);however,the
coach-to-playerratioandotherfactorswilldictatethenumberofDPsthatareincludedinthe
DevelopmentAcademyprogramming.

FCBoulder’sPolicyManual,whichoutlinesexpectationsofbothFCBoulderplayersandparents,is

regardingFCBoulderpolicies,procedures,commitments,andexpectations.Allplayersandtheir
familiesareexpectedtoabidebyandsupportthepoliciesandproceduresincludedtherein.Ifyou

Allplayersareexpectedtomeetahighstandardofbehaviorandcommitment.Playersareexpected
toattendallpracticesandallgamesandevents.Allplayersshouldbepreparedtobeavailableand
playineventsthatmayfallonweekends,holidayweekends,includingLaborDay,Thanksgiving,
MemorialDay,SpringBreak,and/orothers.

tournamentregistrationfees,someteamapparel,videoanalysis,overheadcosts(fieldrental,referees,
U.S.Soccerplayerfees,officeexpenses,etc.)andmore.TheabovefeedoesNOTincludeabackpack,
uniformandtheinternationaltripplannedforthe2004and2005teamsin2018.
InternationalTrip
Theplayersonthe2004and2005teamswillhavetheopportunitytoembarkonaninternationaltrip
Barcelona,Spain,March23-April1,2018.Thisexperiencewillincludetrainingsataprofessionalclub,
friendlymatches,sightseeing,aprogame-mostlikelytheNouCamp,andmuchmore!Estimatedcost,
all-inclusive(flight,hotel,food,game,etc.),isestimatedtobe$2,600.00perperson.Moreinfowillbe
sharedaswefinalizedetails.Ideallywewouldlikethistobemandatorybutrecognizecertain
limitationsforsomefamilies.Therefore,thistripwillbestronglyencouraged,butnotmandatorybut
wewillneedaminimumof38payingpeopletoattend(combinationofplayers,parents/chaperones
andcoaches).
ClubCommitment
Insupportofthegrowthofourclubandorganization,eachfamilyisrequiredtocommittwo(2)hours
percompetitiveplayerduringthe2017-18season(fall/spring)insupportofClubevents/tournaments.
Thereareseveralwaystocompletethiscommitment(e.g.,supportingaclubsponsoredtournament,
eventorclubsponsoredfundraisingevent).Priortoanevent,arequestforvolunteerswillbesentby
emailorthroughteammanagers.Individualsmayregisteronlineforaparticulareventuntilall
requiredslotsarefilled.Manysupportopportunitiesdonotrequireknowledgeofsoccer.Supporting
individualteamobjectivesdoesnotfulfillthisrequirement.
Familiescanalsochooseto“opt-out”oftheircommitmentwitha$50opt-outfeebilledatthetimeof
registration.
PaymentPlans
Registrationfeesmaybepaidinonelumpsumatthetimeofregistration,orspreadoutoverfour(4)
orsix(6)monthsdependingupontheagegroupoftheplayer.Paymentplansincludea$50feefor
processing.Annualregistrationfeesarenon-refundable,exceptinthecaseofdocumentedinjury,
familyrelocationoutsideofBoulderCounty,orotherwiseapprovedextenuatingcircumstances.
1. Thefirstpaymentrequireduponplacement/commitmenttoateamwillbe$500payableat
registration.Thispaymentisnon-refundableandnon-transferable.Oncepaid,thisfeeisdeducted
fromtheremainingbalanceofregistrationfees.
2. Familiesoptingforapaymentplanwillpaytheremainingbalancein8monthlypayments.

MonthlypaymentsaremadedirectlytotheClubviacredit/debitcardorpost-datedcheckssubmitted
atregistration.Automatic,on-linepaymentsmaybesetupthroughGotSoccer.Automaticpayments
willrunonthefirstdayofeachmonth.Personalchecksormoneyordersshouldbemadepayableto
FCBoulderandsubmittedatregistration–besuretoincludethenameoftheplayerinthememoline.
Theplayernameisalsothe“accountnumber”forautomaticbillpay.Westronglyencouragesettingup
automaticrecurringpayments.

A$25feewillbechargedforacheckthatisreturnedfornon-sufficientfunds,oradeclined
credit/debitcard.Monthlyfeesareconsideredlateifnotreceivedintheofficebythesixthday
ofeachmonthanda$25latefeemaybeadded.
UnlessotherarrangementshavebeenapprovedbyFCBoulder,failuretopayyourmonthlyfees
withinfivedaysoffeepaymentduedatewillresultinplayerineligibility.Playerswillnotbe
eligibletoparticipateinteampractices,gamesandtournamentsuntilpaymentissuesare
resolved.
FinancialAssistance
FCBoulder’sFinancialAssistanceprogramsupportsfamiliesthatmeeteligibilitycriteria.Acompleted
FinancialAidApplication,alongwiththe$150ApplicationFee,isduebyJune8,2017.Awritten
decisionwillbeemailed/mailedfromtheFinancialAssistanceCommitteewithdetailsaboutany
financialaidawardofferedbytheClub.ThefirstpaymentforFinancialAssistancerecipientswillbeJuly
1,2016.The$150ApplicationFeewillbeappliedtothefirstpaymentdueFCBoulder.

MandatoryUniformPackage
TheFCBoulderUniformPackageisNOTincludedinthecostandispurchasedthroughsoccer.com.
TherequiredCompetitiveUniformPackageincludesthreegamejerseys,twopairsofgameshorts,
twopairsofgamesocks,andthreepracticet-shirts.Goalkeepersarerequiredtopurchasetrainingtshirts,gameshorts,andgamesocks,andanFCBoulderGoalkeeperjerseythatisavailablethrough
soccer.com.Goalkeeperswhoalsoplayonthefieldmustpurchasegamejerseys.
AdditionalrequireduniformitemsfortheDAinclude:warm-upjacket,warm-uppantsand
backpack.Allitemsareavailablethroughsoccer.com.
Toorderyouruniform

Trainings
Wearecurrentlyfinalizingtrainingtimesandlocations.However,ourgeneralguidelinesand
expectations:

perU.S.SoccerDevelopmentAcademyguidelines.
• Afourthorfifthtrainingsessionorteamfunctionmayoccur.Theycaninclude:onfield
training,positionaltraining,nutritiontalks,psychologysessions,videoanalysisoranother
teamevent.
• Allplayersshouldbeavailablewithin24hours’noticeifschedulechangesaremade.
