Other intended uses which are not mentioned in this document (puzzles, CD-ROMs, packaging,
etc.) are possible by arrangement. The price recommendations issued by the Swiss Association
of Photo Agencies and Archives (SAB) form the basis for negotiation.

Examples
Three images, private use, delivered electronically (only possible for smaller files and limited
quantities): processing fee CHF 30.00, fee per image CHF 10.00, invoice CHF 20.00, no usage
fee; total CHF 80.00 plus VAT.
As above, but on a CD and delivered by post: CD burning (extra) CHF 10.00, shipping costs
Switzerland CHF 10.00; total CHF 100.00 plus VAT.
One image, commercial use, delivered electronically: processing fee CHF 30.00,
usage fee CHF 350.00; total CHF 380.00 plus VAT.
One poster reproduction, private use: processing fee CHF 30.00, invoice CHF 20.00, shipping
costs Switzerland CHF 10.00, plus external costs (scanning, printing) as incurred
Conditions of use for SBB Historic image resources

Processing fees will be charged for the use of the archive and collections in accordance
with the set tariff.

The rights of the image supplier or author (ownership, copyright) remain unaffected. The
image may only be used for the agreed purpose.

A usage fee in accordance with the table will be charged for the publication of images in
any form. If an image is used for a layout or as the template for an illustration, a corresponding fee is also charged. Unless agreed otherwise, the usage fees apply to one-off
publication for the stated purpose. Usage fees will be reviewed in the event of reuse, other
versions or additional broadcasts. This also applies to all images saved and/or changed in
databases or on other external data media.

The source ("SBB Historic") must appear on every image published. SBB Historic
must also be provided with a specimen copy of the publication free of charge.

It is not permitted to distribute images to third parties – including electronically – without the
prior written consent of the image supplier. This also applies to licensed material. Copying
the images without the approval of the image supplier is also not permitted.

A fee of CHF 1’000.00 is payable in addition to the other relevant fees for any unauthorised reproduction or distribution to a third party.

Images may not be used in any way that distorts their meaning or is discriminatory.

The place of jurisdiction is Berne. These regulations are governed exclusively by Swiss law.
