Rigid Integral Ureteral Stents
For Easy and Comfortable Coaxial Applications
Patient-friendly Renal Drainage
Teleflex, through the Rüsch brand, is a proud pioneer in urology. Whatever product you
choose, you choose more than a century of know-how and high-quality patient care while
remaining cost effective.
Smooth insertion – flexible
stainless steel guidewire
with PTFE coating
The guidewire comes with a flexible
safety tip for a gentle insertion into
the sensitive upper urinary tract.
(The rigid Superglide stents do not
provide a guidewire.)
Easy application thanks to
memory effect – pigtail tips
To ensure easy and atraumatic insertion, the tips are
smooth and conical. Once the guidewire is removed,
the tips assume their original pigtail shapes thanks
to the memory effect of the material, thus ensuring
secure retention in the renal pelvis.
Easy insertion – introducer
made of polyurethane
The firm, yet flexible radiopaque
introducer is easily visible on X-ray
images and helps pushing the stent
into the correct position.
Convenient documentation
The enclosed patient card and the 3 selfadhesive labels facilitate medical documentation by recording the most important
data of stent and procedure.
Secure hold during
application – fixation clamps
The plastic clamps secure stent and
introducer to the guidewire during
application.
High Level Safety, Excellent Drainage Performance
and High Wearing Comfort
Ureteral stents are mainly applied to re-establish or maintain the patency of the ureter to ensure proper urine drainage, since otherwise the upper urinary tract can suffer from
damage. The new Rüsch rigid integral and Rüsch rigid
Superglide integral ureteral stents from Teleflex are made
of firm polyurethane which retains its shape extremely well
while remaining flexible. The stents offer high resistance
to collapse, crushing or compression, even under extreme
conditions of insertion, such as tight strictures.
Largest possible drainage lumens with smallest possible
outer diameters thanks to the extremely thin walls provide
excellent drainage performance also during long-term use.
Minimised Tissue Irritation and Tendency
for Encrustation
Made of high-grade, biocompatible polyurethane with
extremely smooth surfaces inside and outside, Rüsch
rigid ureteral stents help reduce tissue irritation and
encrustation to a minimum.

The hydrophilic coating renders the surface of our Superglide rigid ureteral
stents extremely slippery. Compared to uncoated stents the coating allows
for much easier and less traumatic insertion even in case of severe ureteric
obstruction, including stone fragments.
