South End Zone Complex at M. M. Roberts Stadium he South End Zone Complex, which is scheduled to begin Tconstruction in the Spring of 2006 and be completed by the 2007 football season, is comprised of five separate levels, adding a new dimension to the stadium, as well as the Golden Eagle game day atmosphere at “The Rock.” The new edifice will include different types of seating, luxury suites, a Roof Top Plaza, locker rooms for officials and visiting teams and space for an academic center. A new, state-ofthe-art scoreboard with video display capabilities may also be erected over the top of the south end zone complex. Additionally, the Eagles’ Nest will be added on the east side of Roberts Stadium. It will include a new club-level premium seating area and will offer the ultimate in seating luxury for those who do not desire private suites, but are looking for an enhanced game-day experience. East Stadium Club/The Eagles’ Nest The second phase of the stadium transformation will include the renovation of existing restrooms, concession areas and the press box. The timetable for this phase has not been set at this time. All of the renovations and amenities will help “The Rock” increase its reputation of having an outstanding college atmosphere, while also being one of the toughest venues for visiting teams. Level 4—Luxury Suites Level—The 30 suites will seat between 24 to 30 people each … There will be seats outside the suite and an indoor private lounge area, equipped with a seated kitchen area … The suites are leased on a five, seven and 10-year basis … All of the suites were leased by the spring of 2005. Level 5—Roof Top Plaza—This will serve as an overlook for the stadium … It will connect the upper east and west concourses, accessible by elevators and ramps on both ends to access each side of the stadium … The plaza also may have an open-air area that overlooks the stadium where corporations and groups can entertain guests. East Stadium Club Level—The Eagles’ Nest will be a fully climate-controlled area that will seat approximately 500 to 800 people and will provide an upscale food services area and rest rooms.
