Our vision is to develop a network of chapters and
volunteers working together to serve senior citizens
throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, the region,
and ultimately the entire country.
Therapeutic Benefits
The benefits of a trip go far beyond the lake —
promoting socialization and independence while
giving hope to those suffering from loneliness,
depression and isolation.
What We Do
Outings can be scheduled weekly with
your local chapter during the spring, summer and
fall months. Each excursion is approximately 2 hours.
There is no cost to participants except for a current
fishing license (if applicable).
Our History
Let’s Go Fishing was founded in 2002 in Willmar,
Minnesota. With the help of thousands of volunteers,
Let’s Go Fishing is getting people out on the water six
days a week, May through September. Today,
we have chapters located throughout Minnesota
and Wisconsin — with a growing demand to bring
our unique program to communities across these
states and beyond.
Let’s Go Fishing with Seniors not only
sparks fond memories of participants who have
had a lifelong love of fishing, but also provides
the kind of recreational activity that greatly
improves the quality of life for older adults.”
