WARRINGTON YOUTH CLUB
PART TIME TEAM LEADER
JOB OUTLINE
We are looking for creative and energetic part time Team Leaders to join our
existing staff team working predominantly within our Youth Club based at the Peace
Centre but also within the wider community, engaging with young people through
holiday club programmes, weekend, evening, school based, and outreach
programmes of work.
The successful candidates will lead a team of Youth Workers and Volunteers to
develop and deliver high quality youth provisions for children and young people aged
7 – 19, and up to 25 for young people with a disability.
You should have experience of managing teams, developing resources, motivating
staff and a proven track record of supporting young people in a range of youth work
settings.

Job summary
To deliver and oversee programmes of high-quality youth
work
Key tasks
Manage and oversee the delivery of youth work sessions within youth club
provisions and the wider community
Attend and participate in planning meetings and work with the other team
members to ensure that high quality youth work opportunities are delivered
and resources are effectively and efficiently allocated.
Deliver and support the completion of programmes of accredited work
including developing opportunities for young people to gain accredited skills
and experiences
To be responsible and accountable for achieving targets set by the Senior
Team Leader
To assist with the promotion and marketing of Warrington Youth Club and
work with the management team to aim to increase membership.
To support the induction of part-time staff and act as a mentor for volunteers,
new staff and placement students.
Support the volunteering programme and hold line management and
supervision responsibility for a number of the sessional and part time staff
To liaise regularly with all members of the Warrington Youth Club team.
To work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of each session.
To develop positive, professional relationships with young people attending
the club and all those we work alongside.
To attend team meetings, supervision and training sessions and to be aware
of and act in accordance with all Warrington Youth Club’s and the centre’s
policies and procedures
To assist in maintaining the club as welcoming and attractive to all young
people, and to have regard for health and safety.
To participate in the planning and delivery of school holiday programmes and
community based activities
To undertake such other duties as requested from time to time by the Team
Leaders and which are commensurate with the post.
