Representative Players, Teams and Officials Selection Policy

Purpose
To ensure NWC representative players, teams and officials have a consistent and transparent selection process
that provides clarity to all parties.
2.
Definition
A representative team represents NWC at a national or inter-zone competition.
3.
Selection Panel
A nominated Board Member will convene the Selection Panel. The GM will administer the process. A
procedure for the selection of players and officials will be developed, agreed and followed.

The Team Management Composition
Each team must have one female coach and a female manager appointed.

The Team Composition
Each team must have no less than ten and no more than twelve players.

Trials
NWC will develop, agree and follow a procedure to ensure the process is fair and equitable. The Selection
Panel remains in control of this process.

Social Media
The GM or a nominated person will announce all representative teams. The Head coach may speak to the
media about the specific team's performance and may discuss injuries if approval is obtained from the affected
player. The Head coach must avoid controversial issues including administration or governance matters.
Players may only comment on their own performance and must have the Manager present. Officials may not
comment to the media.
9.
Methods of communication
The Management team must ensure that all communication is professional and that due process is followed as
outlined in the Rep Procedure document.
