Notice is hereby given that in exercise of the powers
conferred by Regulation 5 of the Control of
Pesticides Regulations 1986 (SI 1986/1510) (as
amended) and of all other powers enabling them in
that behalf, the Secretary of State, and the Scottish
Ministers (as regards Scotland) and the National
Assembly for Wales and the Secretary of State
(acting jointly as regards Wales) have given
provisional approval for the advertisement, sale,
supply, storage and use of

Meteor with MAPP Number 10403
Formulation:
being a soluble concentrate formulation containing
0.8 g/l imazaquin and 368 g/l chlormequat; details of
the formulation consisting of the following:
- technical specification of imazaquin as specified in
the application dated 14 January 1999 (PSD ref: doc
203, FEH 2734E) and any subsequent amendments
agreed with PSD; and
- technical specification of chlormequat as specified
in the letter dated 22 April 1994 (PSD ref: doc 96,
FEH 1274G) and any subsequent amendments
agreed with PSD; and
- other formulation details as specified in the
application dated 19 September 2005 (PSD ref.: W
001045748) to

Operator Protection:
(1)
Engineering control of operator exposure must be
used where reasonably practicable in addition to the
following personal protective equipment:
Operators must wear suitable protective gloves and
face protection (faceshield) when handling the
concentrate.

However, engineering controls may replace personal
protective equipment if a COSHH assessment
shows they provide an equal or higher standard of
protection.

Other specific restrictions:
(1)
The container must not be re-used for any purpose.
(2)
The empty container must be returned to the
supplier.
Adverse Effects:
Approval holders are under an on-going obligation to submit immediately any new
information on the potentially dangerous effects of a product or of residues of an
active substance contained in a product, on human or animal health, ground water or
the environment.
