Badminton
Badminton, an Olympic and popular sport, has been part of the University of
Cyprus’ Sports Agenda for five years now.
You can play badminton mainly indoors, using lightweight rackets and a
shuttlecock, a cork ball fitted with stabilizing feathers. Players hit the shuttlecock
back and forth over a net, trying to keep it from hitting the ground.
A novice group will be introduced also this year. An expert badminton coach will
help in training.
Teams from the entire University of Cyprus community may take part in the
internal Championships.
